Tides I tried 2 swim against: am I part of the cure; am I part of the disease SINging

Weren't at first the people who thought of inventing the airplane thought to be crazy initially? If the media uses shock to attract an audience, I'm just implenting their technique. I would rather die crazy, a radical than a puny brain dead sheep who accepts x&y conforms to anything x&y everything. Sure there is a long hard road ahead of me, with destination unclear, if there is a FINNishing/start point to begin with at all. But if I get one person to reCONsider the secular deity law of human nature: money is GOD, than I will die happy. Chris Martin, in a Q Magazine interview said, what is important is dying happy. For you I would bleed myself die? Well maybe not to the extent of sacrificing my life like Jesus Christ did to elimate the system of money x&y greed x&y replace it for communism/socialism/equality/eglatarianism. I'm not in any way saying I am JC, that would be just plain crazy. But if you read the STATUS ANXIETY book by Allan Debotton JC was the original left wing humantiarian revolutionary. We need more people to emulate JC's ideals, the rest about the afterlife I will leave you a quote from Sir Martian: all the signs I knew what they meant, somethings you can't invent, some get made some get sent SOS PS Don't you think it is UNFAIR that a doctor should make as much money as a cleaner/factory worker does it two weeks after seeing one patient for one hour???

Ok, what the fuck did you just say? Please, clarify and focus your points. Seperating them into paragraphs would be good as well.

I'm inclined to agree with you VERY SLIGHTLY on SOME points. I consider myself socialist on many grounds (no one throw shit at me, I'm not in the mood to defend myself, ok?). But... man, I just don't believe that killing the rich is going to solve anything. Is that what you were saying? I couldn't really figure it out. I do NOT understand this thread at all.

John Lennon was a pretty rich guy. He lived in the Dakota, afterall. Chris Martin's rich too. Would you kill him? Or are you against him? You seem very hypocritical. Worshipping at the alter of the very thing you hate. It's all quite ironic.

Socialism will never work. It will never EVER come to pass. How many times has this been attempted? It's simply morphed into communism. And that is so bastardized, people live in fear of it. They could never wrap their minds around the idea of take what you need and give what you have. It's too much of an IDEAL for them. It's too bad, because I think it would solve so many problems. But.... I don't know. The world's just fucked up. I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore.

Sir Martian. :laugh4:

This guy makes some weird threads.

90% of rich people got that way by living their life the right way, staying away from bad people and drugs, actually wanting to get ahead in life, and working hard. instead of bashing the rich, one should try to emulate them.

Exactly. one thing i love about america is anyone can become rich....

For the sake of argument, whom do you define as a "rich" person? Rich in what? Is there a certain monthly earning quota that people should try to emulate?

By overgeneralizing the rich, you overgeneralize the poor. I did not choose to be born into the great opportunities that I have been afforded in life. Many people are born into completely impoverished, deprived situations. They have bare access to education, no family support to steer them in the correct direction. To say things like 90% of the rich work for their livings, then what's to stop people from saying 90% of the poor deserve what they get? People are often born into poverty, and have no opportunity or knowledge to know how to get out of it.

I'd like to know where people's stereotypical data comes from around here.

the thing about america is the poor have a chance to become middle class or rich. you have rappers from the ghetto who are dirt poor who become multi millionaires. you can go from poor to rich. i know a guy who was 50,000 dollars in debt 14 years ago and is now worth over a million dollars.

Exactly. one thing i love about america is anyone can become rich....

Again with the generalizations. Give me data, give your arguments support and not idealistic hogwash that is easy to spew out.

How about the mentally retarded? They can't even work, they can't become rich. The disabled? The uneducated?

Not everyone can go out and get a high paying job.

And again, I'd like to know why people keep throwing around this term "rich". Who's rich and who isn't? Am I rich? I live in a big house, my parents each have a car, my brother's going to a private school next year. I will be continuing on to college soon.

My family is also in such debt we can hardly afford any of this. Infact, we CAN'T afford any of this. Every paycheck I earn is not mine. But people see that my father is a doctor and say that we are rich. They have no idea that my parents have to continually take out new credit cards to try and pay for things. We've had more than one scare about losing our house.

Don't throw that term around so loosely. A big house and a nice car does not equal rich. Neither does a huge salary. So what is it the poor have to emulate??

Alright. So the rappers have a talent. What about the kids who can't tap into this talent? Who don't KNOW about their talent? Who don't HAVE it?

And what did your friend do to get out of debt, exactly.

a guy 50,000 dollars in debt can go from that to millionaire in 14 years, guys from the ghetto who are dirt poor can become multi millionaires, its happened many times someone poor has become someone rich (rich as in worth a million or more dollars.) my friends dad went from poor to owning a big bussiness worth millions... its not hogwosh.

im not sure, it was all legal, he now manages stuff on the stock market and gives lectures to people on how to get out of debt. just because you dont have talent doesnt mean you cant become rich OR middle class....

I am a puzzle your the misSINg peice THE WORLD TURNED UPSIDE DOWN

an_cat, my sympathies go out to you. This is why I hate the system of money. My original rant was not so much anti-rich but anti-money. Why can't humans continue living, working without the debt or concerns of money hanging over them like a noose. You lose a job, you can't pay of your house, your in the slums. I aim to actually prevent this, you know just eradicate the obsolete CONcept & evilness of money. Why should we stress over it, when humanity's economies are producing a surplus, over stock, mass abundance, unprecdented in all of history of food, consumer goods? Why can't we all just share in this, why do we all have to be a slave to money than we die in this BITTER SWEET SYMPHONY of a life as THE VERVE sang? Is some evil crude cruel joke? What is there to test in us humans? We all know money brings out the worst in people: gambling, addictions, greed, murder, criminals. So why for heaven's sake perpetuate the cycle??? Why can't we just share, share, share like in John Lennon's IMAGINE? How many people will have to die, suffer stress, heart/panic attacks, endless pain for the sake of sustaining this bizarre, absurd notion of money?

You are not wrong to ask who does this belong 2 it belongs to all of us TWISTED LOGIC

its fucking money' date=' but without money a lot of ppl is dieing for starvation, a lot of ppl cant go to the doctor, because of the fucking money that they dont havee, and a lot of ppl cant go to university and learn... only the ppl who have the fucking money can do that things, dont u think that this isss soo extremly unfair?? that is what the capitalism is about nowadayss.... please stop and think before talk....Edit--Im not talking about killing people...[/quote']

HEREIN LIES THE CRUX OF THE PROBLEM. WHY SHOULD POOR PEOPLE IN THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES DIE BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO POOR TO SEE A DOCTOR? I HAVE EVIDENCE IN ONE ASIAN COUNTRY A PROZACK PILL IS A VERY RARE COMMODITY, ALMOST WORTH $100 PER PILL, WHILST IN RICH WESTER COUNTRY THERE LIKE LESS THAN 50 CENTS EACH...

WHY SHOULD POOR PEOPLE IN THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES DIE BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO POOR TO SEE A DOCTOR?

so what are you doing to help them?

i doubt you can help them with your posts...

"Money is not the root of all evil, but the lack of it!"

So you wanna abolish money?Fine, what would you replace it with.Maybe with a concept I give you a cow, you give me 200 eggs. That sistem has existed over 7000 years ago, and still what are you gonna do if you get too many eggs, because you live in a small place where most people have hens.

If we rule out the concept of swaping goods and services for other goods and services, what's the alternative, hmm money of course.Because it may work on a few examples, but it doesn't allow anything more complex than a tribal type of life.

You say why don't people share?!That's just ridiculous, there'll always be a situation where one person will say "hey I gave you way more than you gave me".Besides getting things totally for free and without any effort, just creates an addiction.Take animals in captivity for example, they can't live in wilderness because they couldn't take care of themselves.Or a kid that was pampered all of his life, he is sure to have troubles getting independent, and living on his own.

So you wanna abolish money?Fine, what would you replace it with.

*cough* Star Trek *cough*

I'd give all the money I have, If I could live in a holodeck.

Maybe you do?
