People Below poverty line: 11% USA GDP/per capita: 41,800$ People Below poverty line: 12% (CIA factbook) Also there was a show a Mexican legal immigrant said he would rather go dig thrash in favellas and live in poverty there than in the US where constant debts threaten his freedom, I think that tells you enough about how US treats poor citizens... our poor arent even that poor compared to most people...not everyone of course but if you look at eastern europe, asia, africa and south america they have it alot better. america takes care of its poor better then most nations, except for some of europe and canada. but none the less our poor have more money and stuff then the average person on earth.
