England vs Portugal

Featured Replies

England soo deserved to win. If Portugal is so good then why didn't they win in regulation time when they had an hour with an extra man.

A professional lip reader analysed Ronaldo's comments at the referee and he said "It's a foul' date=' it's a foul, it's a red card"[/quote']

There's nothing wrong with saying that. All players do it.

It's a bit different when it's your club teammate!

the queston is:

how long he'll be a teammate of Rooney?

Ronnie wants to quit United for Madrid, i would really hate him for this move

EDIT:

it seems Ronaldo is a fucking liar!

get out from Man U i say!

I kinda don't get this whole thing.. I don't know ANYTHING about English football clubs as I don't get any news about that over here in Austria.. So, Christiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney are both at ManU, right? Can anyone tell me what's wrong with Ronaldo complaining?

  • Author

yes they are both at Man Utd and as Ronaldo said to the official MU site "Wayne is my friend", so that would be a really big surprise for me if he really did say "red card"

Yeah, but.. in this situation, they were playing against each other.. Wouldn't it be natural if he'd say something like that about the player of a different team? Sorry if this sounds stupid, I have no idea about club politics.

^ You're right. ;) Yes... they both play in the same team, but Rooney hurt R. Carvalho on porpuse, who is Ronaldo's friend and who was playing with him at the moment.

I think it's worse Rooney pushing Ronaldo away than Ronaldo saying the truth, that was a fault and he deserved a red card.

What Ronaldo did any other player would have done. What Rooney did, fortunetly, not all players do. :P

And for the matter It seems Ronaldo is going to Real Madrid.

If Sir Alex Ferguson wants Ronaldo to stay at Manchester Utd, then he will stay. If he then gets dropped like Nistelrooy did, then Ronaldo will have shot himself in the foot. Sir Alex is in charge here ;)

Oh really? I wonder why.. would be a good explanation though. And it's a VERY good strategy by Ronaldo and Portugal itself - provocating Rooney means increasing his aggression so that he can't keep it under control any longer and that's how England lost his best player.. Aaargh!

On german TV they said....Ronaldo provoced Rooney before the game...hmm...

yeah i saw that too

and he was like winking when rooney had to leave the pitch ... :dozey:

It seems the guy who wanted Ronaldo on Real Madrid wasn't elected :P

Even if Ronaldo did what they're saying he did... what does it have to do with the fault Rooney did to Ricardo Carvalho? Do you really think the referee gave him the red card because Ronaldo asked? (though he just said it's fault)

I think people are trying to excuse something that doesn't have any excuse.

Mr Christain Rolonaldo is no longer welcome in Manchester or England to mention that.... how can you do that to a friend.... than lie about it.

I would love to say more, however I reckon the GMP would start looking for me if I did....

Netherless to say I was very very disappointed when we lost again....to Portugal Again, On penalties again, Luiz Felipe Scolari again, to a cheating player again...

I now hope Germany win it, they have been pleasant hosts... plus their team has been very honest

Yeee.....congrats Portugal:dance:

Hhehe.....my whole family was watching the penalities and we were so excited because we wanted Portugal to win.......and we were screaming and stuff....almost as if it was a Germany game:laugh4:

there goes my support for germany thanks..... we cheerd you on aginst Argentina....

Just one simple question...

bart, what is your problem with people supporting other countries? It seems to me like this is happening: "we supported you against insert-country-name-here so now you have to support the team I'm supporting."

This is what I get while reading your messages; maybe it's just me.

My only opinion is that people are free to support who they like.

to a cheating player again...

who??

Cristiano Ronaldo? for what? for saying the truth? Rooney thought he was playing Rubgy and did that to Portugal's best defense.

Rooney is the one hurting someone and making a bad bad fault and Ronaldo is the bad guy here  Pathetic and ridiculous are the only words to describe it. And I thought the ARgentina people were those who didn't know how to loose.

Portugal and Germany are the only teams that have won all games so far... they deserve to be in the final.

Erm Ronaldo went to the referee to demand a red card for Rooney. Aren't they supposed to be team mates?

I think what Rooney did is agression. Therefore, it's a red card.

I think the referee was going to show Rooney the red card with or without Ronaldo asking for it, I guess.

So what? Trying to get a team mate booked is just unforgivable.

:stunned:

What?

England was cheering for GERMANY?

Tactical thinking I'd say...in this case......because of being scared about Argentina!

Alright, the thing is: I'm a huge England fan and I don't defend Rooney's actions. I think what he did was wrong and he deserved the red card. I'm not saying that it's Ronaldo's fault - Rooney would have gotten the red card anyway!

BUT it's simply a matter of fact that club teammates don't do that.. They just don't.. Ronaldo has done lots of things in the past - one of my friends knows a lot about English football and he told me that lots of fans and players are pissed off of Ronaldo because he gets in lots of fights with his English clubmates.. From the first time I saw C. Ronaldo, I thought he was arrogant and a liar, and that's what he is..

I thought the red card was for loosing his temper and pushing Ronaldo?! Not accidentally stepping on the other guy- who was fouling Rooney when he tripped from what I saw.

Ronaldo was trying to provoke alot of people- Crouch must have the patience of a saint with the way he was getting in his face yelling at him at one point. I would have wanted to punch him if it was me. He might be a nice person the rest of the time, but that day Ronaldo made me think of Draco Malfoy.

Erikson said the card was given for stamping Carvalho.

I kinda understand that Rooney lost his temper but it was just stupid to push Ronaldo because the referee could see everything.

Having watched the replay serveral times now, I still can't make out whether he stamped Carvalho acidentally or deliberately.

Just watch this and make your own mind up.
