Yeah I did, It was a good gig. Crowd didn't really get into it as much as I thought they may... maybe because the music is a bit 'arty' and not made for simpletons... I think their studio recordings don't come off 100% played live because they lack a few more instruments on stage.. But loved the hits. Greatest Denier, Black and White Tow, The Cedar Room....!!!!

To be honest, I only knew some of the hits. Did my best to sing along to those. Got to know them when we lived in the UK. They are much better known there. I thought it was pretty solid. Like you said, did miss the extra instruments. Love the singers voice. The first 4-5 songs the drummer and keyboard player were out of synch. I thought that pretty annoying, but not many people seemed to notice. Must have been the feedback or something. Was fine later. Seems like a nice bunch of blokes.

Fantastic pictures. You must have a great camera. I love the ones of Kevin Ginger Cookie hugging Kav and Kav doing the spirit fingers. Thanks for sharing them with us. I'm always to engrossed in the music to remember to get my camera out.

Thanks :nice: I love to take pictures when I'm @ gigs. Some people say it spoils the fun when you're too engrossed in fiddling with your camera but I find it's nice to have some photos to serve as physical reminders of the great time I've had, on top of the memories, of course. Anyway I do take pictures really quickly and then rock out to the rest of the song.

has anyone watched/recorded the Max Masters doco on the band? i think it premiered last week some time. i watched it and though it was ok. there seemed to be a massive emphasis on the band's videos.

Max Masters always is a rehash of old interviews, clips and photo's. The only new thing to me was the recent interview stuff from the Inshalla period. There was a lot of stuff from the DVD and interviews from the Max Session from 2-3 years ago.

I think most of you on the EJ mailing list would know that Don't Let Me Down is going to be the next single...

 

Think it's a great choice... It's my favourite song at the moment and it looks as though it's a fan favourite during concerts too. Great funky dancey beat, can't help but either tap my feet or bop my head when I listen to it :D

It is a good choice, I wonder what songs will be on it for b-sides? more acoustic versions?

On FaceBook they said they would have Thunderclap for sale soon, so that might be the B-side.

I love the ending of that song, it's just Kav, and it's all quiet

Good song, still upset 'Inshalla' isn't getting a single release. But this appeals to a radio audience more.

 

Yeah B sides would be nice, but A PHYSICAL RELEASE WOULD ALSO but I know they stopped after the last one...:(

I hardly see Eskimo Joe cds in record stores here, it's disappointing.

I used to collect U2 and Coldplay of course, but I stopped, they are a little hard to find...

Yeah U2 still release physical CDs, but Coldplay..hmmm....:veryangry2:

Death to Channel 9 for milking the shit out of their song rights in all of their goddamned crappy programs! I'm sick of them playing almost every song tidbit they are licensced(sp?) to use EVERY 5 SECONDS.
