I love to learn languages, but unfortunately I don't have the time for it. I learned German (of course!) and English (I learned much of my English on my own) and Latin (awful!) and I wanna learn more languages, e.g. French, Spanish, Danish or Japanese :).

When I was at school, I enjoyed learning French and German....I go on holiday a lot to France, its easier for me to read French and listen to it....Im not so great at speaking it, lol.

Ive forgotton most of the German I learnt.....real shame :disappointed:

German is a silly language - I hate it. So it's not a shame to forget the German you've learned. ;)

I envy people who born in a country and the parents are from 2 other countries... I mean growing up speaking 3 languages... I think that's awesome...

But you've lived in different parts Switzerland for quite a long time, so you're probably pretty good at foreign languages.

Hi sally!!!

that's true... but I started quite late... I mean if I would grow up speaking 3 languages I could speak even more today...

I think learning another language would be awesome you know like spanish or something like that although i do know alot of french. But i do wish i could have the accent cause when a girl talks spanish thats hot with the accent and all

I started learning english since 11 years...and I'm not that bad... Well I think so... I don't know what the others think about my english...

As I'm french, I speak fluently french, write it quite correctly (even if since I'm here, I have more difficulties to write french words without doing mistakes... and I start to think in english...that's weird...)

I learned german but I can only remember some words and one sentence: "Ich habe alles vergessen..."

Otherwise, I want to learn spanish and italian.

i lovee learning languages i speak 4 english german french and spanish , the hardest one ... i have to say was spanish to many verbs

spanish has to many verbs !

I think you're both right. There are irregular verbs (much more than in English) and all of them change in a specific way for every person... Moreover, there're more verb tenses than in English. English makes everything easier, I guess.

I can speak german and english. But my english is bad :P

this year I would like to learn swedish.

You're forgetting on your mother tongue

I guess I'm alright with learning languages.

French and English are the two official languages here, but I'm only fluent in English. Not so much in French.... I can say phrases and have simple conversations, and have written numerous paged essays and such for school (I'm in an extended french program that I have to take till I graduate to university, which I'm only taking it so I can stay at the school I am in now. They'd kick me out otherwise because it's too full and I don't live in district :().

I'd like to learn spanish in the future, and some of it seems similar to french so hopefully that won't be too hard

Apparently, english is the easiest language to learn.

I guess I need to improve my english ponunciation and some grammar and I'd love to learn french italian and german

I'm also addicted to languages! Besides German (which is a very unimportant language IMO) I can speak English, French and started to learn Spanish 2 years ago. I learnt a bit of Italian either.

It's an advantage to speak one of the most difficult languages in the world fluently, because that's why I understand nearly everything in Dutch and in Swedish. I can imagine to study a language in the future, but I still can't decide which one. :D

What do you think was the most difficult language to learn Lars?

Definitely French! :D Especially the pronounciation wasn't very easy! What would you say?

I cant really comment, because I dont speak many languages....

i think i'm pretty good with learning languages

i speak/read/write fluently in hebrew and english

abit better in hebrew since i dont get to use english as much, but i know english so well mostly because i lived abroad when i was young and now it's not as good, but still pretty good considering i only use it in this forum and i read in english (i hate reading translated books...)

and i also studied arabic at school for 6 years but nothing good came out of that only cause the method of teaching it was really bad. In school i got a 90-95 in arabic, but it's still not good enough for me to understand it or speak it.

In october im starting a 5 month course and by the end i should be able to know arabic perfectly.

other than that i pick up words quite easily in different languages, but i never really tried to learn another language

I love foreign languages [ expecially scandinavian ;> ] but I dont have possibilities to learn them... I can speak Polish [ native ] , English... and I'm learning French [ 1 year ] and Swedish [ only grammar now - learning by myself is not so easy ;P ] .... I'd been learning German for 3 years in primary school but I forgot almost everything ;>

Yes ur right ... i have to say that spanish is one of the hardest one's to learn

mhh ... i do speak German, English and French (a tiny little bit).

i also started to study Spanish a while ago...

French definitely was the hardest one of the ones mentioned above!

however... the sad thing is that i don't speak my native language (Filipino/Tagalog)...

i understand a few phrases... but i never had the chance to learn it intensively. :(

i understand bits and pieces of dutch though cause it's slightly similar to german... :D

other languages i'like to learn?

erm... perhaps finnish!

So then you were not born in germany?
