Go grab Morning Glory and Be Here Now and listen!! the best albuns of the 90's!! Cheers
August 21, 200520 yr Haha, Oasis were performing "The Importance of Being Idle" on CD:UK thismorning and at the end Noel said "Thank You.... Top of the Pops" :laugh1:
August 21, 200520 yr haha good old Noel :guitarist: ahhhh good to hear they were fantastic................... I've never seen them live before, but I hope to get around to it some day
August 21, 200520 yr they're brilliant live. i've seen them 3 times 2nd July 2005 City of Manchester Stadium; Manchester, UK 12th December 2002 Pavilions; Plymouth, UK 13th September 1997 Westpoint Arena; Exeter, UK The show in manchester was brilliant, really good :D going to see them here too 10th December 2005 Noise and Confusion 05; Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, Wales, UK
August 23, 200520 yr bought the new oasis single 'the importance of being idle' the other day. on the dvd single it has the demo version of the track, the video and the making of the video documentary. great stuff :D
August 23, 200520 yr must say i think 'the importanceof being idle' is up there with the best songs oasis have ever released :)
August 24, 200520 yr I think sometimes they can be a little overrated, but in saying that I think that sometimes Coldplay can be too....don't get me wrong I love Coldplay and have a liking for Oasis but I wish the media would just let the music speak for itself rather than focussing on the Gallaghers or Chris (a large majority of people not even interested in the music can name the Gallaghers and know Chris Martin is the lead singer of Coldplay but can they name the rest of either band? Or indeed know how many other members there actually are in the bands?) both bands last albums had SO much hype in the press and I know it's always gonna happen with big bands such as these too but I wish it'd just ease up a bit, lots of people expect for the albums to be either the most amazing one they've released OR the rubbish one which is nothing of what they once were...why not just wait and give the album a listen through just as if you've never heard the band before, thats what I try to do so no judgement can be passed through media persona's or high/low expectations. **breathes out** Sorry, rant over! Btw I'm seriously not attacking either band, its just my opinion above...I'm a huge fan of Coldplay and, even though I admit I've not heard everything by Oasis I'm a fan of them too (went to see them in July...very good night!) and absolutely love "Cast No Shadow" and "Don't Go Away" (especially the acoustic version...as with "Stand By Me") I do enjoy when Noel sings, lovely voice. Nic :o
August 24, 200520 yr unfortunatly oasis have had to put up with the tabliod newspaper rubbish for years. if only journalist would just listen to the music instead of writing rubbish in the newspapers
August 25, 200520 yr Noel, andy and gem performed 2 song acoustic set for the jo whiley Show on BBC Radio 1 today (25th August 2005) the importance of being idle wonderwall both songs sonded great. they did an interview too
August 26, 200520 yr isn't he on holiday with nicole at the moment?! xD read something about that...
August 27, 200520 yr the viva "video-text" said it could be that they are... xD they were seen somewhere in italy, in a hotel that is well known for honeymoon. *hehe* but I've forgotten the source  ... anyways, liam always says he won't get married again, as far as I know. *g* no idea.
August 27, 200520 yr Did you listen to the Foo Fighters livelounge? They covered Lyla.....better than Oasis' IMO  **chuckles and listens to it again** Nic :o
August 28, 200520 yr when i am sick off coldplay i am always listen oasis..........i think they are the second best band in the world......i really like them and their new album........so if coldplay wouldnt exist(i cant imagine)they(i mean oasis)would be my favourite........... :wink3:
August 28, 200520 yr i prefer the oasis version of lyla. i think the foo fighters are great but they should have covered kaiser chiefs - i predict a riot. they played a bit of it before they did the cover of lyla. the oasis acoustic set was really good on jo whiley the other day, liam wasn't there as he was on holiday. liam wasn't really needed for this session as it was promo for the latest single, 'the importance of being idle', which is sung by noel. hope it goes to number one in the UK singles chart today :)
August 29, 200520 yr Oasis Boots Anybody who could give a link of a page where i can download oasis boots??? please!
