*lol*.. well here in Jordan.. even if i tell people about them, they wont even want to listen to them.. & also they hardly know any good bands here.. all they listen to is either arabic or metal music & rap.. :sick:.. but my closest friends know a little more than others.. coz i tell them A LOT of the bands that i listen to.. but i just wish.. i could find someone wiht a music taste similar to me.. its' so hard! .. but i guess that fact that you live in aussie .. you dont have this probelm.. :)

yeah. i totally agree. i've only told like 2 of my friends about mew. i kinda like it here that mew is my 'little secret' so to speak, and i see no need telling it to people who wouldn't appreciate their music.

I've been to see them a few times now. Always great.

 

A good few years ago I thought they were a band only my brother and I had heard of......ha. Well they were actually, amongst all my friends anyway.

And it's great when they don't want to like them.....just proves I like great music and they don't. haha. ;)

 

I've heard them from the pre-Sony days and it's good to see them getting great reviews for their new stuff - great alternative rock.

I love their discontinued first albums though - such a wide and diverse band in those days. From gritty guitar driven tracks to power pop with a cool twist.

 

I don't really talk about them that much on hear but I'm a big fan. Very clever musicians.

And Mew isn't that popular in Finland either..many of the people i know haven't ever heard of them..but they do listen to some weird weird music :sick:

 

But on the gig's it's totally different..all the gig's are sold out but at the same time it feels like NO ONE knows Mew.
