It pisses me off how Chris disses Parachutes

Featured Replies

Im sick and tired of hearing about Chris dissing parachutes. First off Warning Sign is my favorite song, and he hates it cause it reminds him of a time. Well you know I hate when someone talks bad about something that they know is good. Parachutes was the fucking best album they have ever done to this day. STOP DISSING IT your best work yet. :veryangry2: :veryangry2: :veryangry2:

Chris Martin Trashes Parachutes

Coldplay may have its critics, but some of the harshest words for the band are coming from the band's own frontman. Chris Martin told reporters in Hong Kong that their hit album Parachutes is – in his own words – "terrible music." He also claims that his band won't do another album until they've written "the best songs in history," which he thinks could take up to 50 years.

You shouldn't take Chris too seriously.. He's always slagged off his band's music, he's even said a hundred times that Coldplay as a band itself is shit :P

And many artists look back at their early work in a very critical way - in his opinion, his lyrics have evolved and he's older, more mature and smarter now, and probably thinks that the things he wrote about in the past were stupid - that's absolutely normal, because after so many years, he might not be able to relate to them anymore..

I don't know where to start............................... :dozey:

You've also got to remember that sometimes people say things b/c they are feeling one way or another, and feelings change. John Lennon was famous for "dissing" his Beatles work, calling it crap. But most of his negative comments were made when he was going through a rough time in his own life, towards the end of his much too short life his outlook had changed and he was able to look back at some of that music with good feelings. I never hear too many artists say they enjoy listening to their own music either...

The song "Warning Sign" is on the album called "A Rush Of Blood To The Head"

I was gonna say the same duh

This whole thread is a complete waste of board space......................... :dozey:

he's just a very humble man, and if you have heard him talk about his band he is actually very proud. as somone said before you cant take him to seriously.....

People always look back on their past and think 'crikey! what was i thinking??'

Shell suits, flares, ford capri's, crazy frog

My opinion is still that he should more bother about X&Y.....

but i said that several times....and it is another topic...

so ignore my comment...

OK. I will!!;)

If he/they really hated it, they wouldn't be performing songs off of them. Although there is a demand for Yellow, there isn't for Don't Panic, Trouble, or Everything's Not Lost which've all been performed live recently. Even Sparks and Shiver have gotten a little stage time in the past yr and a 1/2. They might think they've gotten so much better (and they have) since then, but I doubt Chris/the bad hate the album.

Don't believe anything that comes out of an artist's mouth when it comes to their work.

I don't because it's just too true...I've been listening to Parachutes recently and felt this sweetness of this debut album...it was so innocent and genuinely INDIE. Not that bombastic stadium rock they've done with X&Y.

yeah..parachutes the best and chris likes senseless talk.

they did not play Shiver during the last US Tour, and that made me very sad. it's a great song.

It's their album. He's allowed to diss it if he wants. Not like he can hurts its feelings :P

Eh.

I don't really care for Parachutes.

I like it a little bit, but... not that much...

He's got a really low opinion of himself and his music, though, so...

.

Parachutes is great! Especially for a first album...and I'm sure he secretly knows that too.

My first car was a pile of shit compared to my third.

Exactly, anyway what does Chris know, he never listens to it.
