What movie has made you cry?

Featured Replies

Whether your eyes just watered or you all out bawled like a baby....

I never cry at movies, but I have teared up a little at these:

Dead Man Walking -

When Sean Penn is just about to be executed and he's crying and talking for the last time to Susan Sarandon...

Philadelphia -

When Tom Hanks collapses in the courtroom...

One of the old 'Ernest' movies -

Okay, this was when I was a little kid. It was a scene where his pet turtle died. Hey, it was quite traumatizing for me watching that back then!

:D

Dancer in the Dark. I openly bawled while watching this movie.

oh boy, i am a sap, i cry at movies ALL the time, but the worst ones are:

one true thing, phenomenon, armageddon, and jerry maguire. heh. i am hopeless.

Dancer in the Dark. I openly bawled while watching this movie.

laura, i balled at that tooo, that was soooooooo sad, i'm so emotional when i watch movies, i also cried at amelie, when she thought she had lost him (nino), her man. as well, during romeo and juliet, when he walks towards her and sees her lying there.... and... haha.. i cried at the end of Braveheart, when Mel looks to the crowd when he's dying and screams freedooooooooooom... very sad!!! :( ( o, and i hope i didn't ruin any endings to any movies...lol... )

Oh, Dancer In The Dark is sooooo sad and depressing - and it made me mad, what he did to her! :x I felt almost sick to my stomach at the end...

white oleander when she stupidly didnt wanna be with him anymore...

well i didnt cry but it made me so sad :|

but it was happy later cuz they got back together! :)

um, LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL. I have it on dvd and i bawl my eyes out every time...

armageddon, titanic....

pretty much any movie where a main person dies at the end....

um' date=' LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL. I have it on dvd and i bawl my eyes out every time...[/quote']

yes! omg that movie was devastating! um....forrest gump..moulin rouge(fo sho) and titanic

Tears of the sun nearly got me tonight, though i have been all emotional today, but war films, done right, really get to me.

anyone remember A.I.? i cried for basically the whole movie.

Oh yeah, I nearly forgot about that one! I teared up during the scene where the mom abandons David in the woods.

yeah the friend i was with hated it. she thought it was the worst movie every. but i couldn't stop balling. i think some people got that movie, and some people didn't.

- Forrest Gump (when jenny dies)

- Philadelphia (the whole damn thing)

- Dancer in the Dark (the ending is brutal)

close calls:

- Saving Private Ryan (i didn't even like this movie that much, but i didn't want the guy at the end to die after all that)

- Cast Away (i almost cried about A FUCKING VOLLEYBALL. WHAT THE HELL? also, what's with tom hanks?)

i think some people got that movie' date=' and some people didn't.[/quote']

the hallmark of any stanley kubrick film (i know, he died at the beginning of production and the reigns were turned over to Steven "Big Sappy Hollywood Ending" Speilberg, but his fingerprints are all over it)

I remember crying to E.T when I was little :)

Don't usually cry to movies now anymore, but films like Forest Gump really get to me.

And the end of The Two Towers when Sam holds his little speech makes me a bit sad.

I cried a lot while watching "The Green Mile" because I hated this little sadistic guy (forgot his name). arrr...I was so in rage.

And I also cried at "LotR - the fellowship of the ring", although I knew the book(s). Do you remember the scenes after Gandalf's death? The music turns quiet and everything is shown in slow-motion..perfect! That really made me cry, because the atmosphere was really sad.

The Deerhunter - Man, when they sing God Bless America at the end :(

Bambi - when i was a kid..c'mon thats gotta be the most heartbreaking one ever!

L'Miserables (1995 french version) cant quite remember why but the tears were 'a flowin

Once Upon A Time in America - just watching the characters age and their relationships with each other deteriorate..it's beautifully sad because that's humans for ya

Little Odessa - One of the bleakest saddest films i've ever seen..tim roth has to put his brothers body in a furnace at the end because he accidently shoots him in a gang battle, and their mother dies in it too :(

Philadelphia almost made me cry I'll admit. Tom Hanks did a great job in that film, and so did Denzel Washington.

The movie Shindler's List didn't make me sad, it sort of made me sick to my stomach. It's hard to explain. Really depressing movie.

I'm a big crybaby when it comes to movies. Although I am quite proud that I didn't cry during Titanic. :)

I've basically cried during all of the movies already mentioned plus these.

Awakenings (I could cry just thinking about it. Robert De Niro was so good in it.)

Donnie Darko (It was Mad World that did it for me)

Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings (only at the end because Frodo and Sam's relationship was so beautiful  )

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (can't remember why but I certainly did)

I can't think of anymore at the moment.

yea. I don't know why, but it seemed so heart-warming. Frodo and Sam's friendship. Like when Sam tried to swim after Frodo, even though he knew he would probably drown.
