how long does it take to feel like you belong on a board

Featured Replies

but again the people - dear carole, will (stalk you later), josh, frengerlina nadia, my source for all things mew = gareth, and all you others who make this place great.

 It's really the people that keep me coming back here as well. Met some really wonderful people who I think I'd genuinely get along great with in 'real life.' Also the number of active users on a board makes a difference to me. It's like big cities vs. small cozy towns...not to say that this board is small, but it's not so vast and unwelcoming to the point where people are unable to form friendships. I find that in some of those huge forums with a bajillion active users, people get cliquey and become quite nasty to one another....like in high school. :P

I call CPing my 'home on the internet'....is that crazy, or what?

That's cool, I suppose this is my 'home on the internet' too. :)Coldplaying isn't just a forum, it's a community...

How true! It's a pleasure to be in touch with so many fellow human beings from around the globe.. And to know that many of them have couches and chairs and things so familiar!:laugh3:

& even us hermits get to meet people!:elf::elf::elf:

I've been on here nearly 2 years and sometimes I still feel like a newbie, lol.:D:D

I feel like a belong on a board as soon as I get some friends cause then I feel more welcome on the board or something like that

You feel kind of at home as soon as you actually interact with people....like instead of just posting something you think about a song or something, I don't know, when you actually talk to someone, you've made a friend, and then it's all good from there.

I love Coldplaying because I have so many nice/cool friends here and there's people from all over the world....it's just awesome!

When I first came here, I was a little distant but then I started actually talking to people and having them reply to my posts. I've met heaps of really nice people here, and they make me feel very welcome here. But on the contrary, I've have met (or seen, I sorta avoid talking to them) some rather annnoying or just full of themselves people, but hey, thats like .1% everyone here.

I'm glad I joined, everyone who is a genuine Coldplay fan is a good person, the only people here who are a bit mean, were never really here for Coldplay in the first place.

I've been here for about 2 years or so and I still feel like I'm new here. I don't really interact with most here so maybe that's why but everyone here does seem friendly. :nice:
