damn..... that's messed. I usually get ideas when I'm on vacation up at the cottage.

Well I'm inspired when I'm in love :D but, well, I'm not in love anymore

oh yea?

I plan on being a script writer when I grow up, so I need to get rid of this block fast!

Wicked! :D Goodluck!

I wanted to be a writer when I grow up, but now I want to be a webdesigner... writing will stay a hobby :) (in case I'll get rid of that block, I mean! lol)

im not really that good at writing well apart from writing poems

ive read that sometimes yeah :D u update it every day? i have something called livejournal i bet u heard of it. i just havent wrote over there in days now

Nah, I update it once every few months  basically cos of the writer's block I haven't got much to add... but I also own a blog (like LiveJournal) and update it several times a day... just writing down random stuff

Depends on what kinda writing, poetry? Lyrics? Story?

Well, generally you should just not think of it. Go find your friends, or go for a walk, or just go somewhere and not try and think of anything. You may stumble upon an idea.

OR- if its a story, search random stuff on the internet, possibly through Google. Just random articles, short true life stories on people, theories, anything, and somethings bound to inspire you.

i only get writers block when i'm really thinking and pressuring myself to think. i find in situations where writing is the last thing on my mind (like watching tv, eating, going to sleep) i'll get ideas.

i dunno what to tell ya though because different things work for different people so...

i find what helps me is to just sit down and write stuff, just force it out, even if it sucks ass, do it anyway, and eventually you'll come across something that catches your eye (or ear or whatever else), and find out it might not be so shit after all and the next thing you do is a little better still, and so on. whatever you do, don't think about it too much, like cold kitty said.

of course that tactic only helps if you're working on things that are relatively short.... if you're writing a novel, you're on your own.

Thanks for all the advices everyone, I'm personally going to try them as soon as I can :D

how do you get rid of it!

i try not to worry when i'm blocked, ideas will come up when they want to... when i want to write something and no ideas come up i'm nervous, stressed and it makes it worst.. so be calm and wait. :)

them usually come up when i'm on holidays, or at weekend, the problem is when i'm busy doing other things and i can't write.. :S
