Actually it wouldnt be that hard, but its funny when I get to read an old random thread and see I've posted in it.

And it shows just how friendly this board is that people are still willing to help out three years after the plea went out!!:P

first off....

there are another 2 creative block threads....

here and here

*merge required*

so i am going to answer here as this one is the oldest one...

well how to get rid of a creative block writing....

i usually do one of those:

1. read my notes about the story.

2. listen music that inspired me for certain parts of the story (or watch some serie/news that inspired me back when i wrote the plot).

if none of those help, i try to calm down and do one of those:

1. check an old story and may be re-take it.

2. give myself time and quit writing for a couple days.

currently i'm having a "creative block", is just i'm undecided what to do....

i was writing a story and i have a clear idea of what will happen next in the story, but i've re-read the last scene and i found there's a mistake (i missed something) so now i don't know if fix that mistake or go on with the story or check the beginning of it. :\

i know the block will be over soon.

(i know i've just bumped a 2003 thread, but is an interesting subject i think, if you don't find it interesting then don't post here, thanks).

I don't know... I've tried everything I can think off, but I seem to have lost all of my creativity :(

don't think that, just calm down a bit, must be a period just that, you'll be creative soon ;)

I've had the same for months

I also have it since last year I think. I'm practically unable to take any good photos. And my writing sucks.

Make yourself write whatever comes to your head. Writers only have writer's block when they THINK they're allowed to. If I can't think of anything to write I just start scrawling down random gibberish about my thought process/whatever I'm thinking of.

Thank you for that! :) Will start to do it, I hope it'll help.

well, it was contrarily for me, I wanted to write smth or paint, but I couldn't, because I hadn't time for it. :D So my suggestion is to do smth that you really don't like (for example, read a dry book or treatise (that's what I would hate)) and then you'll understand what you really want to do and you'll miss creating. It happened to me.

I hope it was a lucid explanation.

Do explain.

So... I have to go get a job in working around TWELVES?

Mm, why not..? :shifty:

Do explain.

I mean.... if you have serious pressure on you to write, and you make yourself write, you'll come up with something.

Or fuck, how do I know, maybe that's just me.
