A question about fashion/General fashion stuff

Featured Replies

^ I saw a woman dressed like that yesterday. I cringed in my head.

I hate the layering trend with the really low cut tops so that you have to wear another top underneath. I find it uncomfortable and incovenient. When I want to buy a new top, I don't want to buy 2!!! It's too hot for that in the heat of summer.

^^Very true, I'm not fond of that either. If I ever layer it would just be like a cardigan on top because I am cold.

I don't really do the whole fashion thing because it's so hard to find clothing that fits. So I'm stuck in jeans and a sweat-shirt in the winter and t-shirts in the summer. It sucks. =/

i'm too lazy to pull off the whole layering thing most of the time. i think it looks nice with tank tops under shirts and light sweaters and all that, but really i don't bother putting on so many clothes. besides, it feels kind of constricting anyway. i'm a jeans/tshirt/sweatshirt kind of person.

and i'm quite glad that long shirts are now the style. there was a period of time only like 2 years ago where you simply could not buy a shirt that covered your entire stomach and back, especially when sitting. this was a particular bother for me and my friends, since my school had a really strict dress code with harsh punishments for people that broke it. once long shirts were coming into style again, my friends and i were close to graduating, and we can wear whatever we want in college :dozey:

I prefer wearing a number of thin layers, like an onion, then if your hot you can remove a layer or 2, if your too cold you can add another layer.

I hate wearing two shirts but I love cardigans...they just make everything look so good. i don't know. i don't put much effort into getting dressed in the morning but my style isn't jeans and t-shirts. it always looks put together, like i thought about it...I think this ability is from my mom :nice:

Yeah it can be functional. :)

I hate stores like Hollister and Abercrombie and shit...ugh horrible trash. >.<

Another thing that annoys me are those sweatpants with words on the bum like 'PINK' or 'TOUCH ME' (:P).

Ugh I just needed to get that out. lol. It's just trashy.

Where do you like to shop, Annie?

Abercrombie is the shit here I guess .. i can see clothes from there nowhere except in my friend's closet because she's the only one round here (of those people i know) who has anything by Abercrombie (and Fitch, right?) so we're sometimes all jealous :P

speaking about words on pants ... i hate it when they appear on bags and purses as well; not only on pants :D

Today in the airport I saw this girl with a bag that said "Reading is sexy".

hmmm.. that's kinda funny :P but on a bag? :uhoh:

Ugh I despise it. Stupid kids spend so much money on those sweatpants... :dozey:

Ugh... my university sells sweatpants like that with its name "DAL" in big letters. There are entire swarms of girls wandering around campus with those pants on. It's nasty.

if i'll ever buy pants like that, they'll say CHEER and that's it. and i'll wear them for practices.

It's worst when they wear them tucked in Uggs.... >.<

I would call Reading many things, but Sexy isn't one of them. It's twinned with Düsseldorf.

ugh, abercrombie and hollister are so...juvenile. i dont really mind the clothes themselves (though i hate how easily you can make them totally slutty and cliche), but i hate the connotation of the label and how preppy and trendy it is. i hate even going into the store because its so freaking LOUD. and its WAAAAY overpriced.

american eagle i can stand, at least most of the stuff. but i'm a gap girl.

Gap is cool... I like delia's too but I go to a lot of stores that aren't nationwide chains, like these stores have their own lines and also some designer clothes...I like to mix designer with H&M and gap and stuff, but ohhh the H&M in Europe is absolutely amazing, in the US it's just so so.

But I hate looking/dressing like other people. I always want my personality to shine through in what i wear...

yes, european H&M is soooo much better than in the US!! i wish ours was like that!

i'm just pretty imparticular about fashion in general...i know what i like, and i wear it to be comfortable. i dont make a big production out of clothes, as long as i think i look alright and i'm comfortable. i dont care whats "in" or where it comes from.

I love Gap. :D I love their jeans!

I get most of my stuff from H&M. :P It's like an addiction, but I love the clothes there. And it's really affordable too.
