February 29, 200818 yr Oh my fucking god. :o I'm so excited. This is great news! :lol: Darker sounds brilliant, because I sometimes think they have been a bit to smooth, especially on X&Y. The lyrics does seem pretty "coldplay-y" to me, at least the few clips revealed. But I just can't wait to hear this! and a Europe tour! Oh... if they will come to Sweden...
February 29, 200818 yr Hmm. Well actually this is good in a way. See, every past album they were all like "this is the best thing ever!" ...and some people found that as like hyperbole etc etc. And as Chris (i think it was) said, you cant please everybody. So, I reckon this is his way of saying secretly "this is bloody awesome, we think its good, but we realise that not everyone is going to love it..and we're chill with that". I reckon theyre just being modest. I spose only time will tell. Make your own decision when it's released. WORD!:thumbsup:
February 29, 200818 yr So we have now 25 different titled songs revealed written for LP4 and associated projects; Mining on the Moon The Butterfly The Fall of Man Bucket For A Crown I read these titles on wikipedia but, apart bucket for crown that was performed, I don't know if they appeared at first somewhere else... wikipedia isn't so reliable IMO should we consider them possible songs?
February 29, 200818 yr I like the line "Those wo are dead are not dea, there in my head", i think that hes talking about all the people who have passed way, Gwens Dad and his scottish ucle and Wills mom. Cool lyrics, im sure this album will have more depth and meaning, and i think thats great!
February 29, 200818 yr i got to admit im a little disapointed :embarassed: looks like famous old painters and glass of water are not going to be on the album i wanted them to be on it cuz they said the glass of water was a piano riff song and they turned it into a giutar riff it sounds good they also said it was one of there best songs! Im sure it still will be. I think they didnt say anythin about those songs because they already did in a journal and probaly didnt want to give too much away. I think the track lissting is still undecided but the main body of the album will be done with the best songs already on the album. The song for the escapist shows us they are not afraid to chop and change it. Also, when Coldplay said they are going to give Violet Hill a promotional thingy are they trying to change the music industry like radiohead done something so bizzare and out of the blue and Colodplay are taking a leaf out of their book and saying we could do that but better. I think they are trying to change the industry and are partly inspired by Radiohead.
February 29, 200818 yr I like the explanation of the "Trilogy". This helps at least understand the shift in direction, even though I enjoy the current formula. You know the old saying, if it ain't broke.....I hope all CP fans will appreciate their new effort.
February 29, 200818 yr i just really wonder why do they only want 9 tracks on the album when they could have well like 16, but obviously wont be a 16 track album (i dont know why). but they could make it like 11 or 12 songs long no? I know they said the whole keeping it short cause the bleatles and all, but whyyy haha.

WHY DOES JAPAN GET TOUR DATES BEFORE THE US AND EUROPE?!?!?!? hopefully more are on the way.... well that just means that they'll be touring around that time and they might come sooner than you think.
