February 28, 200818 yr every time i think about this, i get these little excitement tremors. it was happening all last night and now into today!! i wonder if i've ever been this excited for something before...the only other thing(s) that come close are waiting for the harry potter books to come out. i'm the same way. This is the first coldplay album i've really been anticipating because i wasn't a huge fan when X & Y. I was telling my dad about it yesterday and i just kept going and going and he was so mad i wouldn't shut up:laugh3:
February 28, 200818 yr Yea it seems like people are more hyped about this album then X&Y. I mean there was excitement for X&Y but i think this is a different and bigger excitement for some reason.Thats how i feel anyways!!
February 28, 200818 yr i think theres more excitement because x&y added SO many new fans. They also keep teasing us with tiny nuggets of information to get us pumped up. Their departure from the regular 'Coldplay sound' is huge also! It's so awesome, essentially, it will be like listening to Coldplay for the very first time!

February 29, 200818 yr i'm the same way. This is the first coldplay album i've really been anticipating because i wasn't a huge fan when X & Y. I was telling my dad about it yesterday and i just kept going and going and he was so mad i wouldn't shut up:laugh3: i was just becoming a fan when X&Y came out. the "speed of sound" video got me into them, so i was really excited to hear what else they were going to do, but i hadn't even heard parachutes (besides "yellow") at that point! i just knew "speed of sound" and minimally AROBTTH (because i'd only listened to it for the first time like a few weeks before). i was BURSTING the day it came out because i was taking a bio exam and just wanted to go to the mall and buy the damn CD, but that's NOTHING compared to my anticipation for this album. i called myself a coldplay fan then, but i had only just begun my coldplay education :D
February 29, 200818 yr i got to admit im a little disapointed :embarassed: looks like famous old painters and glass of water are not going to be on the album i wanted them to be on it cuz they said the glass of water was a piano riff song and they turned it into a giutar riff it sounds good they also said it was one of there best songs!

February 29, 200818 yr well we heard before that there'd probably be some spanish influences on the album. But now it seems that most of the songs that took influences are on zimbabwe like Africa,China based sountrack title. it really sounds that the influences are more from Africa or Asian influences on album even Japan took the first preference in getting the live concerts. well i am always prepared so early this time even before the album release and reading all the recording based news only to head for the concert this time. i am so excited.

Cemeteries of London Violet Hill Poppy Fields 42 Yes Leftrightleftrightleft Rainy Day Prospekt's March Famous Old Painters Glass Of Water Lovers In Japan Strawberry Swing *(Song For) The Escapist Death And All His Friends Chinese Sleep Chant Life In Technicolor Reign of Love Those in bold have been named for the album, (Song For) The Escapist to be released independently, those in italics confirmed as songs the band was confident in. From all of these there should be about four to six songs possibly going to be used for B-Sides. Excitement is nigh :lol: I'm all for them ditching X&Y style, I wasn't too fond of that, I only took to Talk and A Message. I did love AROBTTH style though... but I guess it's time for a fresh change for them, a lot of people have gotten rather sick of their old stuff. *crosses fingers that the local radio station will finally play these songs that actually have meaning instead of the standard annoying "date me" "have secks with me" shiz*

February 29, 200818 yr lol yeh all this lonliness and deathness....i hope there is still some light in their songs. But Coldplay were always good at the hope side of things in their songs. ...reminds me a bit of Stings lyrics for the police (thinks "So Lonely").
February 29, 200818 yr I don't mean to sound like the "bummer" here but I am not sure I like the sound of the "spin" on this album. We should be reading something like, "The BEST ever" and this is a "Monster album with multiple hits" or something like that. How about, "Our most prolific work ever?" "Not everyone's going to like it" is not impressive to me. I am all for change and expansion in Music and the Groups have to play what they like and enjoy doing. Every great Band continues to change and move into different phases however it feels funny to me. I hope that I am wrong as I have seen them four times and consider them one of the best live bands ever. Chris has a great deal of talent. I won't worry about it but some how this takes me back a notch. :shocked2:
February 29, 200818 yr Hmm. Well actually this is good in a way. See, every past album they were all like "this is the best thing ever!" ...and some people found that as like hyperbole etc etc. And as Chris (i think it was) said, you cant please everybody. So, I reckon this is his way of saying secretly "this is bloody awesome, we think its good, but we realise that not everyone is going to love it..and we're chill with that". I reckon theyre just being modest. I spose only time will tell. Make your own decision when it's released.
