February 29, 200818 yr I don't know- they all sound interesting. I'm getting excited now. Seems like they're going to sound fresh, which is exactly what's needed. :D
February 29, 200818 yr I voted for Reign Of Love...but they all sound so promising. It's not going to be 'typical', and like Mo said, that's what we, and the band, need!
February 29, 200818 yr Violet Hill Strawberry Swings Chinese Sleep Chant Reign Of Love for me these are so.....lovely Chris lyrical songs! fully Chris! well i am always kind of interested in Violet Hill since that was announced as one of the song titles during recording and also now with Reign Of Love i always love the lyrics which are about romance and love in the songs.
February 29, 200818 yr 'chinese sleep chant' soulds the most interesting to me... several months ago when my father went to germany for his job, he bought a cd in which there were many famous nowadays songs (including Clocks by CP), performed like gregorian chants... it sounds strange but not so bad ot hear... when I read the synopsis about CSC I thought of something like that but probably it has nothing to do with it
February 29, 200818 yr erm, i'm having a hard time deciding between 42 and yes...42 sounds great overall, especially with that lyric (i LOVE it), but yes talks about stronger vocals than ever before, and one of my hopes for this album was that chris would get to the vocal level and strength and energy of shiver again (because i count that as his best vocal work to date)... ah, screw it, i'm going for 42. I also chose between those songs, but 42 sounded greater musically, so I chose it :) gah, I can't wait to hear theses songs!!
February 29, 200818 yr I wonder which song is the song that they said that everyone had to hear before they died. i'm pretty shure they've said it's 42?
February 29, 200818 yr I wonder which song is the song that they said that everyone had to hear before they died. I'd say 'death and all his friends' or 'cemeteries of london'...:laugh3:
February 29, 200818 yr Can't wait it to be out and for the touring to begin! Hopefully MTV and the guys can get together to do a launch concert like the last album.
March 2, 200818 yr 42 and violet hill sound really interesting. However, I don't trust a lot rolling stone
March 2, 200818 yr 42 - just how it's described...sounds huge Yes - for that lyric & Chinese Sleep Chant - this one's got me curious...dance hm?
March 4, 200818 yr When I first read the info about Yes in that Rolling Stone article I was like 'woah.....tell me more!!'
March 6, 200818 yr has anyone heard of the CP song 'everything will be down'? i just found this on the website of a german radiostation: Coldplay arbeiten schon seit über einem Jahr an ihrem vierten Studioalbum, zusammen mit Brian Eno und Timbaland. Gerüchten zufolge soll die Platte "Prospekt" benannt werden und insgesamt schräger klingen als die drei Vorgänger. Es gibt schon eine ganze Liste an Songtiteln, darunter "Lost!", "Violet Hill", "Cemeteries Of London" und "Everything Will Be Down" (ein Duett mit Nicole Scherzinger). it basically says that coldplay have been working on their new album for over a year and that according to rumours, LP4 is going to be named prospekt (this article is from january when quite a few sources told us the same thing). and then it mentions all the songs that may end up on the album, but i've never heard of the last one before. anyone have some information on this? usually, einslive (the radio station) is a pretty reliable source, as coldplay have already done an acoustic session in 2002 for them and as they were also in charge of the buzz gig in cologne back in 2005.
March 18, 200818 yr 42's lyrics sound.. strange lol. Though many of them sound very 'interesting', this one's the most intriguing for me!
March 18, 200818 yr This thread makes me so much happier than the album title one. It reminds me that there's still hope for it being a great album :)
