It's kind of funny how they taunt us with the new website because all answers would be there if we could only click on some of the icons. After seeing the latest ones, the following really caught my eye:

 

1. ALBUM TITLE REVEALED 12.3.08. What's interesting about this is that the date is from 8 days ago, but if we were supposed to know the title, or if "famous new painters" was the obvious title now that we've seen the new website...I thought they would've commented on it by now. It sort of makes me second think the album title because it seems that we aren't supposed to know what the name of the album is yet . Maybe "famous new painters" is more of a headline than a reference to the album title... maybe a post talking about themselves and the new album. A nickname for themselves inspired by their change of sound. Just throwing around ideas. It's still probable that "famous new painters" is the title, but who knows...maybe it's a throw-off.

 

2. Remember the whole 'livin the vida'(or whatever it was) hand-sign discussion after will released his "a very-short film"? Well on the bottom of the page with Chris in it, you see the word "vida" written after another word that I can't quite make out. Kind of interesting.

Just added this to Wikipedia, I bet it wont be there long

o2 - 60,000

Manc apollo - 2,000

 

Doesnt make sense, aswell as all the other shit.

the dates were probably just sample dates for looks. They can easily change that stuff with their CMS tools and whatnot.

Coldplay’s fourth album, due out on June 17th, will be called Viva la Vida. Singer Chris Martin chose it after seeing the phrase, which means “long live life,” on a painting by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, who endured polio, a broken spine, and chronic pain for decades. “She went through a lot of shit, of course, and then she started a big painting in her house that said ‘Viva la Vida,’” says Martin. “I just loved the boldness of it.”

Of course, Frida Kahlo will not be the first name that jumps to most peoples’ minds when they hear the phrase. “Everyone thinks it comes from Ricky Martin, which is fine. I have absolute respect,” says the singer, who gave Coldplay its original name, Pectoralz, and named his children Apple and Moses. “I’ve been through this before, naming something or someone and everyone saying that ‘That’s a terrible name’. But then saying, ‘Well, fuck you, that’s what it’s called, and I’ll be proved to be right eventually’. It said Wembley Arena in the first place, WHICH IS NOT WEMBLEY STADIUM!

 

And it wouldn't be unrealistic for them to sell out 2 Wembley dates... Muse did it, and they weren't debuting a new album. ;)
