YOU are the artists. This album is YOUR work. YOU should decide the title, not fans. Fans do not know what happened in the process of writing the songs, the challenges of recording and mixing, not to mention the practices, rehearsals, and planning of concerts. If you would like to let fans decide the title, then fine. But my personal belief is that when something is your brainchild, you make it your own and people can think whatever the hell they want to.

 

I don't care if it's Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends.

Dear Coldplay,

Name the album whatever you want.

Keep "VIVA LA VIDA" .. its really interesting, and engaging for me ( a spanish speaking person) to feel a deeper connection to an artist I like so much and their art! death and all his friends is already a name of a song in the album.. and in my opinion it just sounds too my chemical romance thing... I'd rather hear all the bunch of interesting interviews on about why viva la vida and hear chris defend his point and breakthrough with it. But then again, the title is not the actual music, but I just wanted to share my point of view here.

signed. death and all his friends is an really good title for the album. it also seems to suite the album better as the new songs are meant to be darker, and viva la vida seems a much brighter title.

Parachutes isn't that good of a title. Neither is X&Y. The only cool one was A Rush of Blood to the Head.

i vote for death not life lol ok i think chris was on drugs when he choose the album title im latino and i think its bad.. death and all his amigos is a bad title also:P but its better than that terrible name viva la vida , it would be so cool if coldplay would listen to there fans that would be so so nice of them but thats why i love the band theyre probably reading our messages lol!!!

 

ok i still think that they are messing with us and the album title is something completly diffrent and also the tracklisting i think they planned this all along to fool us since last year and there laughing at us right now!!!:veryangry2:...:P

Dear Coldplay,

both titles are very good, Viva La Vida = to live life with euphoric feelings and with the knowledge that there is sorrow , hurt and that things, like The New Melancholy that appears from all the real bad things in the worl, that means we try to fight with our good hearts against the bad site, and we are so hopeful and we never give up .

And on the other Side, there is the title: Death and all his Friends = For me a title like ``Hey Mate death is natural it is not sad, try to get a friend of the fate and try to understand that the people who die are in a better friendly space/world, mum is in heaven and takes Care of you every day .

WHY NOT TO COMBINE ? like : DEATH AND ALL HIS FRIENDS OF VIVA LA VIDA or VIVA LA VIDA AND DEATH AND VIVA LA VIDA; or VIVA LA VIDA / DEATH AND ALL HIS FRIENDS (2 titles for 1 album that shares the same ?)
