I've only listened to their last three albums, and I think Ganging Up On The Sun is their best. The song Satellite got me hooked.

And you like Lifehouse? :dance: I really like the song Disarray, and a few others off their first album. But I don't think I've listened to them enough to put on my list.

yes, i can't say i'm extremely well-versed in lifehouse either, but i really really like what i have. he has a great voice. i feel a bit odd about it, but several of the bands towards the bottom of the list i'm not terribly knowledgeable about; i just LOVE what i have/have heard. there are so many things in music and TV and movies and books that i need to explore more when i find the time...

^Same here. When i saw Death Cab on your list, I remembered there were 4 or 5 songs that I really liked by them about a year and a half ago. But I never checked them out fully. I think my favourite song by them was Soul Meets Body, which is absolutely stunning in my opinion. Summer Skin is another one I liked. Thats all I can remember... any specific albums by them I should check out?

 

Edit: And I'm on their website now, and they have an album out next month! :dance: I'm liking the instrumental I'm hearing in that video on the front page.

Well I read an MTV article about the new album and just listened to "I Will Possess Your Heart" and its sounds as if this album is going to be excellent. I get really excited when bands evolve like this. Their new single is over 8 minutes long!

ahh, death cab! i looooove them. i HIGHLY recommend both transatlaticism and plans, which are their most recent albums. there's not a song i don't like on either, but my absolute favorite is "marching bands of manhattan." also, the photo album is really amazing, but you can't go wrong with anything! i've got it all, if you need it ;)

I'm really excited as well, looks like its going to be their Ok Computer, I'll be buying this I think. Yeah I downloaded Plans last year and I really liked it, but I think I deleted it to make room for more important stuff. But I can download it again, but thanks for the offer. When I get that external hard drive, I might take you up on your very kind offers :nice:

i just think ben gibbard is one of the best lyricists out there these days. he can make an entire scene somehow with musical arrangements and so few words...they're awesome in concert as well. perhaps the best-quality live music i've ever heard. it's almost better than the records, and i'm much more of a studio-version person. gahhh, i love them.
