for me, i cannot believe that's been a month! it seems like a week ago.

there were so much complaining about Prospekt's punctuality that time flied very fast, even though we felt at that time clocks had slowed...

i hate how everything i see has the album title as viva la vida or death and all his friends. its just viva la vida now!

 

i don't think it's definite that the title is ONLY viva la vida... i really think prospekt was just abbreviating. IMO... death and all his friends is a subtitle... like on the album cover it will say Viva La Vida in large letters and then beneath it Or Death and All His Friends in smaller print... but i dont think it's been dropped from the title just because prospekt didnt include it in that post.

I'm sure they just had both of those titles "death and all his friends" or "viva la vida" but weren't sure which one to go with. It's just like that other misunderstanding of "prospekts march" being a song instead of it just meaning "the albums progress"

I have to disagree on both points, but I know there are plenty of people that think Prospekt's March was never a song.

ok like... why would he refer to the progress of the album as 'Prospekt's March'? that would sound so dumb. even if prospekt is one of the producers it's still coldplay's album not his so i dont think he'd refer to it like that. Also the P and M were capitalized which would make it seem like a song title. AND it said 'we're all buzzing about the mixing of Prospekts March.' that wouldnt make sense the 'we're buzzing about the mixing of the albums progress'....huh? seriously i mean i respect other's opinions but it PUZZLES me that people don't think he was talking about a song. It might not have been a song title but it was at least referring to prospekt's favorite song or SOMETHING.

because prospect means an apparent probability of advancement, or the outlook for the future, as something to look forward to. Which is also why I believe whoever writes these notes signs prospekt (xcept they or he threw in that k to make it cooler)

 

.. it puzzles me that people think it was a song. I can understand why people misunderstood prospekt with it being the title of the album at first though. But not a song. anyways.. thats just how i believe it to be. They'll prob talk about all these things in interviews and stuff.

Coldplay album won't be too experimental

 

Chris Martin has promised Coldplay fans that the group's new album will not be too much of a departure from their previous material.

 

Rumours have suggested that the new LP could be less commercially-friendly due to its experimental nature, which was influenced by producer Brian Eno.

 

However, frontman Chris insisted: "We're still obsessed with making songs that can be sung to the rafters. We just wanted to present them differently."

 

The full tracklist for the album, titled Viva La Vida, was released yesterday.

such a huge relief isnt it!!!! i was really worried for a little bit with all this hispanic and latino influence stuff but it seems like its just gonna be another coldplay album. i just want a complete album.

I'm relieved it won't be one big la cucaracha, but I loved it when he said that not everybody will like this album, and that he feels no obligation or pressure to make something safe. After X&Y, they will get a whole lot more props for they do go for something brave or ballsy, and I hope that's how VLV will turn out.

Thats what I hope. I hope it dosent sound like Coldplay. Thatd be the worst. Id turn my back on them. I think it should be like Kid a. It dosent sound like old Radiohead but its got that distintive sound which can ONLY be radiohead. Come on Coldplat be brave, then you will be the best band in the universe.

Yeah, after the first couple prospekt entry's talking about brass bands, looped beats and "something completely different" Kid A is the first thing I thought of, I was hoping for a more accessible coldplay equivalent to Kid A.

Yeah true. But I kind of want it to be Coldplays OK Computer but better. I really want people to say its defo their best abum because sometimes people say the Bends is Radioheads album. I just want this album to outshine all the other 3.

I think that originally they decided to call the album VIVA LA VIDA / However, the reaction was so rude from the members of this forum that they tried to fix the situation adding "OR DEATH AND ALL HIS FRIENDS"

 

Now they have turned back to VIVA LA VIDA / because VIVA LA VIDA OR DEATH AND ALL HIS FRIENDS doesn't make any sense!!!

 

I suggest a poll!!! How do you think that the album will be called finally?
