I dont know?

Am I alive? I better be, I wanna hear Coldplay!

I think the artwork is taken from the screenshots of new site...

The single will be 42, according to UK mix (after 19th May)...

i forgot about hidden tracks! glad to see we got one!

So we will have 11 songs!!???

Yeah!!

Those unreleased ones the article names sound awesome. Could Coldplay all of a sudden decide to pull a Radiohead and CD2 us? Either way I'm psyched that they recorded so much.

A funky groove emerges from out of nowhere in the middle of "Death and All His Friends."

Guy's getting his funky James Brown on, oh yeahh.

After reading that article, it hit me that there are people out there who have HEARD these songs (DUH!) and that fact is killing me!!!:(

Aww Melanie not long to go. Two months til album comes out, single will probably be released two weeks before that, so it's gotta be hitting the radio in a matter of weeks. :idea2:

Just got to try not to explode before then :D

^^ ooh i forgot about the song hitting the radio :nice:

Well, I'll try my best but I can't promise anything...

Oh my..a single in maybe a few weeks...

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Yay, more news!

I like the way that the Escapist uses the same melodies and stuff as the first song, so it fits into the album as a whole better. Although I liked Til Kingdom Come, it was completely different to the rest of the album.

And if you read the article carefully, DAAHF is not the same song as Escapist - it says its "tacked on" to it, in other words, stuck onto the end of it, ala Life Is For Living.

Excited!

There are some songs we heard about wich are not on the album (Chinese Sleep Chant, Rainy Day, Lukas, etc.). If they're not going to be b-sides, we'll probably won't here from them anymore.

Has this happened with songs on previous albums? That a song title was mentioned somewhere, but nobody has heard from it after that?

Yes this happens with nearly every band on every album

The tracklisting looks great, I'm more concerned with the double name of Lovers In Japan/Reign Of Love...I would be much happier if they chopped the first half of and just called it Reign Of Love

That's SO awesome they made a follow up to No More Keeping My Feet on the Ground!!! That's my FAVORITE b-side! I really extremely hope we get to hear it! June 17th is too far away

Just keep yoursself busy. Itll whizz by!! Watch the Euro 2008 (Boring) or Eastenders ( Oh My God) Or just listen to other bands like the Kooks (I wanna kill myself).

Damn June 16/7th is too damn far away!!!!!!!!!!

Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"postcards from far away"? awww, i kinda wish that made the cut just from it's title...by far my favorite title they've told us about so far!!

and "now my feet won't touch the ground"? my god, whoever said it first is right: what is WITH the similarity to "no more keeping my feet on the ground"?

*sigh*, i wish they'd stop telling us about all the song titles that DIDN'T make it...it just makes me sad that the list of coldplay songs that we might never hear is growing.

but OMG NEW ARTICLE!

each time we hear something new like that, i explode a little inside and get MORE pumped, if that's even possible :D

Have been waiting for this for a while now, glad to see the news has finally come out :)

Hope we get to hear the new single soon because ive been looking foward to listening to it for ermm....years now, lol.

I have just read the review of VLVODAAHF; it sounds FUCKING AMAZING. Seems that they ahve really broken away from the old format, not that there was anything wrong with it - but still good to hear them progress anyways.

well it seems.......Coldplay are doing what Death cab for cutie is for their upcoming album.....there was an article in rolling stone talking about their new album and a track from the album (I forget the name) but the track was an instrumental and just when you thought it would continue through as an instrumental the guy sings a line about some girl. sorry if I messed up the info.......but I expected coldplay to have an instrumental of some sort working with Brian Eno and all.

^you're right, DCFC seems to be doing a similar thing by changing up what their audience is used to. i guess that's the trend these days, but i think with DCFC the shift in styles was more by accident, whereas with coldplay it seemed more intentional.

it's funny because i used to be pretty worried about whether or not i'd like the direction that coldplay has decided to go in. now i don't think about that so much; i just WANT it, and i can leave my opinion on it till later, i guess.

^^ arent you guys a bit afraid of that though ?

Depends if the shift in sound seems contrived I guess.

We can't worry about it though because we really just won't know until we hear a song....whenever that may be :P

yes I guess ! I just dont like it when Chris insists on the fact that not everybody will like their new album... :\
