Yes it would be a deviation from what they usually do with album art, but again, this is Coldplay 2.0...everything's going to be different. (AND the song "Famous Old Painters") I don't think that painting itself will be the cover, maybe just a small part of it in the dead centre of the cover. On the other hand, I don't see them coming with this idea from nowhere and they've started this week a new campaign to promote their artists, using message boards (where I iniatially saw this article).
