According to amazon.de there will be a continental europen single of Violet Hill on CD - http://www.amazon.de/Violet-Hill-Coldplay/dp/B0018DCGLY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1209537226&sr=8-1

 

It says it's gonna be released May 9 and the b-side is Lost (though that may not be true). Still it's interesting enough for speculation!

 

And just so you know, it is very rare for Amazon to stock promo CDs so this might be the real deal! (just not released in the UK)

So we could be getting Lost much earlier than we thought as well??
