May 9, 200818 yr haha i'm USUALLY pretty good at letting everyone know my opinons on here... i just wouldnt be as blunt about them (like texasluvsjonny) because i havent built a reputation on here yet like she has (but sometimes i WOULD love to be more blunt and a little more vulgar...hehe). i just don't want people to label me as a jerk (not saying you sound like a jerk 'texas..' because you certainly don't!) because i'm really not at all... just very opiniated at times. but thanks for making me feel welcome! I know how you feel. I was very careful when I joined too. I wanted to please everyone and not get mislabeled too. But as you feel more comfortable, you realize that even if you totally piss someone off on one thread, we all move on. (I hope so since I've been lipping off around here a lot more lately,lol.)

There are over 115 VH threads now (and that's just a rough count, not counting the ones Mimi and the others merged last Tuesday). ANd I haven't even tried to count all the threads for the other songs and the NME article. THAT DRIVES ME NUTS! It's easy to check the Coldplay forum to see if there's already a thread with what you want to say in it. (But I'm off topic. This should be in my 'things off my chest' thread.)

I've been saying it constatnly, as have a lot of others, but it just keeps happening...and it's not all nOObs either. Some of us have been on here for a long time and should know better. I still make nOOb mistakes too...nobody's perfect, but like I said in my thread, a little common sense (and tolerance) goes a long way. If we can read, check first! It just makes the Mods' jobs easier. (and we want to please our Mods, because the last sacrifice WASN'T pretty!)

EDIT - Hey, remember Prospekt saying "at least two top-division songs will be released independantly"? Then MAYBE we'll get a few non-album singles too (it's not uncommon)

Release the album with 10 strong songs that fit a theme. No more releases from the album, the next single is independent, with a lot of B sides. Another independant single released with more B sides. Eventually an EP is released putting all the best B sides on one disc.

But what I think is - Violet Hill as download only + ltd edition single (done) - Viva la Vida as physical single (CD and 7") at the end of the month or at least before the album with a few b-sides - 42 a month or two later on CD and 7" with more b-sides - Independently released single with b-sides + Bonus other songs given away in certain promotions (like NME vinyl and iTunes bonus tracks) I could be wrong though

May 9, 200818 yr I kind of thought that the whole idea of the title is that 'Viva la Vida' was for all you optimists out there, and 'death and all his friends' was for the more depressed among us (me included), you know, how you may see the album depending on the mood your in.
