if Kurt Cobain could come back to the dead and reform Nirvana then all these faggoty teenie pop punk bands would have a chance of being gone

Nirvana is where those Teenie pop punk bands originated from.

that may not be true, but bands like nickelback and puddle of mudd are certainly direct decendants of nirvana, and i don't know many people who would be sad to see those bands break up....

i agree with the new kids, i would love to see them come back.

i actually liked savage garden, whatever happened to them?

I definitely agree with Smashing Pumpkins

and Hanson  (im kidding about that one)

in a weird way oasis do, recently there music has been so far away from their proper 'rocknroll' days with deffinatly mayby, the master plan and morning glory. Alkthough i have heard rumors noel gallger has written wat he says to be the best song hes ever done. FIngers crossed on their next album

It's amazing how many of the bands mentioned have come back together :)

At The Drive-In comes instantly to my mind. A shame that both Mars Volta and Sparta founding members officially hate each other, because no one plays any ATDI stuff live these days, and I miss this.

I would kill for more live versions of Rolodex Propaganda : this was magical.

Soundgarden.

Chris Cornell NEEDS his old band and style and sound back.

I think we are overdosed with reforming bands. My god we've even had My Bloody Valentine and Take That and even Led Zeppelin briefly. Every '80's band under the sun is back out there including recently Ultravox and not long back Yazoo. I think that is enough now, time for the new breed. I don't mean the X-Factor crap but bands of originality and passionate music. There has not been an original music movement for years now, not since dance/rave. We've had nu-everything, nu-metal, nu-prog, nu-rave, nu-gaze, where are the original bands that can start a new sound, blow us away with their radical sound like punk, rave, rock n roll all did when they first burst on the scene. Or has everything been done? What do you think?

bands that should reform. i think i'll stick to aussie bands. would love to see wolfmother get back together (even though they only broke up 3 months ago) midnight oil i think would still be great as would hunters and collectors.

but if you honestly think music needs to be saved you need to get your ears checked. music now is just as if not more diverse and spectacular than it was in the past. and you have to understand that there is really no such thing as a totally original artist or band they all get inspiration from old artists even the so-called pioneers of the 60s and 70s.

It's good that bands are reforming :)

The X-factor "around for 5 minutes" artists will soon disappear

The Darkness are reforming for a series of gigs next year ;)

Not even My Bloody Valentine?

Well I don't think bands are ever as good when they reform and I don't see the point at all.

So no not even MBV

The Darkness are reforming for a series of gigs next year ;)

Oh gawd.

Oh well. Could be worse, I guess.

Like, Village People...
