Dejan
"Bon Iver will perform a concert on Sunday, September 27th, 2009 as morning dawns over graves of silver screen legends at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, California. The gates will open at midnight on Saturday night with the performance to commence at 6am on Sunday. Tickets are $25 and include a coffee and pastry breakfast." Looks like a very nice show... deaths_friend
latest on the Bon Iver front justin and the band have finally finished the support of the brilliant album For Emma Forever Ago. he now plans on going on some sort of a hiatus. no idea of how long it will be or what other projects he will involve himself in while away from Bon Iver. but dont expect any album in 2010. For Emma was a special sort of album, the kind you really only write once in your life. i guess justin needs to find himself a new inspiration. Dejan
Bon Iver @ Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Hollywood 9/27/09 Fresh off of making waves by performing for the filmic undead, Justin Vernon continued his recent fascination with thespian mortality by holding his previously reported show at the Hollywood Cemetery, where all the actors are buried. Cemetery gates opened at the stroke of midnight (obviously). Coffee and donuts were served. Photographer Andrew Youssef arrived shortly after 2AM, joining roughly 2,000 people for the event which kicked off with a screening of Wes Anderson's Bottle Rocket before Buddhist monks performed a ritual blessing to cleanse the air for Bon Iver's 6AM set.
