yeah this guy is pretty cool. i dont understand why people do it. i mean, sure, im on here checking which shows that i am wasting a good deal of time on this site until this album comes out (and until we get it confirmed there's going to be one right after it!!:D), but i can't imagine the life lacked by someone who gets kicks out this stuff.

This thread is pretty pathetic. A Coldplay fan heard these songs and is now sharing their opinion. Unfortunately, everyone here is so defensive about Coldplay and so determined to love the album no matter what, they shoot down anyone who says something bad and make personal attacks. AmsterdamMan was just sharing his opinion, that's no reason to make attacks at him. I personally think I will love the album, but that doesnt mean I dont respect other opinions. If someone doesnt like the album, they have a right to say so, without fear of getting hammered. I think it's a sad day when the greatest, nicest, and warmest music fans in the world are acting like this. What a shame.

uhhh your wayyy out of line here. this guy was a troll. he obviously hasn't heard 42 or strawberry swing. if you can't tell this guy was just teasing us... theres a problem. people didn't flip out because of his opinions... it's because he lied and didnt really hear any new songs.

Just because Im trustworthy, doesnt mean Im naive. I listen to Coldplay because Im optimistic and I try to believe the good in people. Theres no reason to attack this guy. You can disagree with him, and you can not belive him, but until you know for sure, you should not be teaming up on him. And Im talking to everyone here.

Everyone got defensive because he couldn't even defend his position, he didn't really descirbe the songs or make any kind of intelligent remarks. Even if he did have the songs his comments on them weren't anything to get behind (or defend). Then when asked where he got them that led to nothing. He was clearly just doing it to insight some kind of reaction, and he did. People can bash him if they feel the need to, myself and you included. I'm all for hearing other peoples opinions and respecting them like you are saying, given they know what they're talking about. I see no problem with people letting loose on him given the situation.

I support 2732...I know we've been passing through a 'my opinion threads' time (and I must confess that's not really nice) and that everyone is dying to get this new album but I really do not see the point of being this hard to the guy. Ok, 42 didn't come out or strawberry swing and I know that saying such things can make huge impact since all coldplay fans are desperate for it, but, anyway, let's just calm ourselves down!In 9 days we'll be able to listen all the songs!Can't we just be a little more patient?As a noob, he might get intimidated and not post here anymore...I believe no one here would like to receive such a bad welcome...And this is not the image I've always pictured of Coldplay fans.

 

And, omg, no one needs to like coldplay's new stuff just because it's Coldplay!I confess that I didn't like Violet hill that much when I first listened to it and I had to listen to it more times to say ''yeah, I was wrong, this song is actually quite good''. It actually happened with some more Coldplay songs and it doesn't make me less into them than any other fan. No one is obligated to enjoy everything.
