We are half hoping Man U do it, we get another chance to play them at Wembley ... and lift a trophy in front of their fans... :)

Save that for a Champions League or FA Cup Final next year mate! May just force Fergie into retirement once and for all! He's about as tough to shift as a barnacle on a ships hull!

Total respect to the man for still having the energy after all these years though.

No doubt Arsenal deserved their win today and I was absolutely delighted it was Aaron Ramsey who scored the winner for them after that horrific injury he suffered thanks at Stoke last year.

I totally agree. However, it was a shallow victory after Arsenal's recent capitulation. Far too little, far too late. Barn doors and horses spring to mind.:dozey:

And another good home win against Newcastle for Liverpool today. Wasn't brilliant football but King Kenny and Steve Clarke have finally been able to get the whole team chipping in with goals which is great news.

I think they're playing cracking football again. All the players look up for it from the first whistle. Suarez has to be one of the buys of the season.

Just Imagine if Dalglish was in control of Liverpool from the start of the season ! he is a genius.

Definitely. "King Kenny" is an apt title indeed!

Special mention to Steve Clarke a fantastic world class coach particularly in the defensive department. Almost a boot room dream team.

And a special mention to Carragher too on his 655th appearance!:D

Total respect to the man for still having the energy after all these years though.

Agreed. He got it wrong tactically today, though.;)

Incidentally, how on earth can Vidic get away with a handball as blatant as that? Something smells a bit whiffy to me.:dozey:

Yes... As you know I am not bitter torwards SAF deep down, he is a tremundos character. A remarkable man... greatest manager ever...

Most of us City fans do feel the same..

I had heard the rumours years back that Bin Laden had visited Highbury as an Arsenal fan but the plan to assasinate the England football team starting with a suicide bombing to kill David Seaman is a bizarre story.

Breaking News: Ferguson calls for help from United's 12th man and lo and behold, Howard Webb is appointed to referee Man U v Chelsea.

i heard the FA has also appointed him to hand over the trophy to the winning team at the end of season presentation ceremony. ;)

Going up! QPR dodge points deduction over Faurlin but are hit with fine in FA ruling

QPR have been confirmed as npower Championship title-winners after the FA revealed they will not face a points deduction.

The club were found guilty of two of the seven charges they faced over the registration of Argentinian midfielder Alejandro Faurlin, but will not be docked points. They later confirmed the fine was for £875,00.

The Hoops gave themselves an unassailable five-point lead with victory over Watford last week but had been left sweating on their status as champions as they awaited the FA's verdict in the case.

QPR were charged with breaching strict third-party ownership rules over the transfer of Faurlin from Instituto in 2009.

The Loftus Road side denied all seven of the charges facing them at the hearing by four-man independent regulatory tribunal, which started on Tuesday.

While the decision was initially scheduled to be confirmed yesterday, the FA postponed the announcement until today, the final day of the season.

The Football League also announced the west London side would be presented with the Championship title after their game with Leeds today if no decision had been forthcoming before the match.

An FA statement read: 'The Regulatory Commission hearing charges brought by The FA against Queens Park Rangers FC wish to announce that although two of the charges have been found to be proved there will be no points deduction made from Queens Park Rangers FC in this season or the next.'

QPR manager Neil Warnock paid tribute to his team for managing to concentrate on playing rather than be distracted by the off-field affairs.

He told the BBC: 'How they have managed to focus with all the rubbish some of the tabloids report, people speaking out when they shouldn't have done, didn't know their facts...they coped well.

'We haven't said anything, we just kept our counsel and did it on the pitch. I can't praise them high enough although it's not really sunk in at the moment, it's just a great feeling.'

He added: 'It's just a relief to know we are the champions. We have been the champions. But when you can't answer back it's horrible.'

Warnock, who will now have his second spell in the top flight following his one-season stay with Sheffield United in 2006-07, was always confident the Hoops would not be docked points.

'Absolutely,' he said. 'The barrister said to me we've breached a couple of regulations. He thought they were technical and couldn't see any points deduction whatsoever.

'He thought there may be a heavy fine for one and a minor fine for the other. He was involved in certain cases and he said it was nothing like those cases.'

Hey Greg, what are your thoughts on Jermaine Jones' play while at Blackburn?

Very impressed. I hope we can sign him but we won't since Schalke have changed managers since he came here on loan, and the new guy wants him for next season.

He's got one hell of an engine and a great tackler. When he first came he gave away some free-kicks in dangerous positions, but now he's more settled he seems to have curbed that. Picks up a lot of bookings haha.
