Where will you be buying Viva La Vida?

I'm going to buy it (a physical cd copy) at Target or Best Buy.
That's what I'm doing too! Though I might be heading to Best Buy. :)

CD on best buy (cheap), digital music is just not the real thing, even thought iTunes offers it cheaply and with an additional song, getting the CD is better (for me).

Anybody that fancies filming themselves in the store buying the CD, then that would be really cool :P I wonder if everywhere will be really busy with people buying it? I'd be a bit gutted if I was the only one there - I'm hoping for some buzz and excitement.

Tomorrow morning

HMV in the city centre . . .

Can't wait !

Hey that is pretty cheap! Also compared to Play or CDwow. I´ll keep that link in mind in case my local store does not have the gatefold edition....

Pre-ordered from Amazon.co.uk, in hopes of getting it early. It shipped today - it better come swiftly!

I don't wanna re-live the conundrum I had when R.E.M.'s Accelerate came out and these Estonian music stores took like a week to get it out on shelves...! :S

thank GOD it leaked, or else i'd be waking up at the crack of dawn, stealing the car, and getting the CD five towns away the second FYE opened, which i wasn't really looking forward to doing.

Can TOTALLY sympathize with that!! I would probably do the same...

So I have decided where I am going to buy it...100%. It´s going to be at my local music store tomorrow after lunch :) They have confirmed they have the gatefold edition (matter of fact they said they ONLY have that edition for now...) so I am really happy about that and I feel like a kid at Christmas Eve! Woah! Gotta give it to the boys...it has been a LONG time since I´ve felt so excited about a new release. :)

Yes that is true! I do hope I am not the only one either...and I do hope this album sells well. It surely does deserve to!

I am an avid iTunes user so for most albums that would do for me, especially considering the HUGE difference in price between digital and cd, at least here. But for some special releases, like Coldplay, I also do consider the CD a special treat , especially if it is a digipack which I like infinitely more than the boring jewel case...

A bit gutted- I went to HMV at about 9am and I was the only one at the Coldplay section lol. Wouldn't have made a great YouTube video I'm afraid folks :P

In Italy it´s going to cost 16-20 euros (12-15 pounds). I guess it is expensive if you compare it with the price war in UK surrounding this album! However I will also pay 15 pounds for my copy tomorrow...I simply can´t wait anymore ! haha

Out of curiosity , what is the difference in price between download and physical cd overe there in the US? Here the album on iTunes costs about $ 16 and as physical cd $ 30.

I think that the albums on iTunes here cost $9.99 or something like that, buying an album at Wal-Mart costs something like $10-$15 depending on the album. At a music store, it might be $15 or more.

Ah I see! Here we don´t have mid prices like Walmart so the difference between digital and physical cd price is quite substantial. But then of course there is always play.com or cdwow...

Brand new albums are about $20 but after a couple of weeks the prices drop. And it also depends on the musician's popularity. Coldplay's last three albums are still $13-$15 while and indie album can drop to $5.

Today is the day here in Denmark! YAHOOOOOOO! I could not help getting up early (here it´s 7:50 am!) I was just so excited! I have a day off today hehe So I might also lunch out in town before I pick up the precious disk! This is so exciting! By the way I got my mum, she is 60, to listen to the My Space leak and she loved the album so much she is going to buy it too! I think that´s pretty great.
