June 11, 200817 yr Any idea if Asda has Gatefold? i work in WHShites and they only had gatefolds. maybe thats standard in the UK?
June 11, 200817 yr I'll either buy it tomorrow afternoon in Newry(a town in Northern Ireland a few miles away) or my local record store in Dundalk where they put out friday's CDs on the shelves the night before. Woohoo!!
June 11, 200817 yr i preordered the vinyl on amazon, so as long as they dont ship it too early and it doesn't melt on my driveway while i'm on vacation, that's where my favorite medium of the thing is coming from :D. i would normally buy it at target, i think, if i was home (as long as they have the gatefold/digipak version...i really want that one), but i'm on vacation in an extremely remote town on the 17th when it gets released here, so i'm probably going to have to wait a day or two to drive 20 miles to the nearest FYE to pick it up. all i can say is: thank GOD it leaked, or else i'd be waking up at the crack of dawn, stealing the car, and getting the CD five towns away the second FYE opened, which i wasn't really looking forward to doing.
June 11, 200817 yr i think WHSHITY its £10.99 Gatefold version is LUSH! i'll probably just get it at Zavvi or HMV. i don't think anyones got any cool promotions on like free posters etc.

I wouldn't say that I live in the middle of nowhere, but the nearest stores that sell CDs are a good 20/30 minutes away. But you're lucky Chelsea, you can drive! I still have my permit, which means I have to beg my mom to come along. :dozey:
June 11, 200817 yr that's true, jenika, but given the price of gas these days, i tend to try to forget that i have a car and lisence just so i dont throw all my money into the gas pump :P i live in an area that oozes CDs, but where i'll be living next week...not so much. but my mom and i always do a shopping trip out to the places with real stores, so i hope we'll do this on the 18th or 19th at the latest and i can pick it up then!

I think it's time to consider public transport to get to Walmart. :p montauk, NY. the zoning laws there don't allow chain stores, meaning NO WHERE that sells CDs. and gas is also about $6.10 there (i'm actually not exaggerating...it takes a lot to get it all the way out there), so i have pretty much ONE chance to get the thing, so we BETTER be going on our shopping trip on/after the 17th :P i WILL, however, be out on friday, so just incase those rumors about it being released on the 12th in the US are true, i'll be stopping in target for a looky. once you have to pay for it yourself, you'll never forget the gas prices :rolleyes:

June 11, 200817 yr I've preordered on iTunes just to get the acoustic bonus tracks - anyone know if iTunes will allow it to be downloaded from midnight? Coz then I stay up and do it straight away otherwise I'll have to wait until after work tomorrow which is gonna kill me! I fully intend to buy a proper copy on cd but having it in iTunes means I don't have to rush out to get the cd, I'll get it in a day or two, just so I can complete my collection and have it sitting on the shelf with the other three. :)
