erm they make chemical products that help plants fight off infections from bugs, fungi, thus increasing the crop yield...and theyre working on GM food with a US company to try to quadruple the amount of things like maize and wheat that can been grown in a field...thus helping eliminate world hunger by growing more for more ppl.

GM's one of those tricky things. Its unnatural and destroys the earth, but a lot of people would be starving without it.

i work at loblaws. it's a supermarket with everything. we sell the usually stuff as well as electrionics, photo development, dvds, home stuff, floral and gardening departments, kids clothing, it's really crazy. we even have our own bank - which all canadian's should join. FEE FREE! and you earn pc points!

 

there's a lot of union crap going down right now though that might give me the push i need to get out of this job!

aye, im still on the fence regarding GM...the long terms effects could be wonderful...but no-one fully knows the consequences of GM foods being released into the food chain...they need to test more in controlled environments before the public fully trust it.

 

But for now, they pay my wages, so I'm gonna suck it up :)

Yeah they could be the cause for a lot of things like cancers and such, we really don't know enough about it.

that sounds like a kickass job!!! i currently work for a very very old toyota dealership but on monday i get to start at a nice new (and air conditioned) vw/audi dealership :D
