WEDDING MUSIC PLEASE HELP!

Featured Replies

I LOVE LOVE LOVE COLDPLAY AND WANT TO INCORPORATE THEIR MUSIC INTO MY CIVIL WEDDING CEREMONY NEXT WEEK, HOWEVER I CANNOT HAVE ANY RELIGIOUS REFERENCES NOR ANY INAPPROPRIATE LYRICS. TRY AS I MIGHT AND LISTENING TO ALL THEIR ALBUMS OVER AND OVER, APART FROM RUSH OF BLOOD TO THE HEAD (AND I AM STILL NOT CONVINCED THAT IS APPROPRIATE), I CANNOT THINK OF ANY APPROPRIATE SONGS.

HOWEVER WE ARE HAVING YELLOW AS OUR FIRST DANCE SONG, WHICH SHOULD BE HILARIOUS WHEN HE SAYS ABOUT SKIN AND BONES, AS I AM QUITE CURVY HA HA.

ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE WOULD BE GREAT

Chinese Sleep Chant- though it's not known as a love song, it's very intoxicating and would leave you with great memories every time you listen to it

Parachutes- Short but very nice and would fit perfect at a wedding

Green Eyes- One of the softest and simplest love songs of all time in my opinion

Til Kingdom Come- A beautiful song that also would fit perfectly into the ideals of a new marriage, plus it would be great to dance slowly to

Hope I helped:)

Depends on your relationship history I guess...

* A chequered romantic past before finding "the one"- Til Kingdom Come

* One partner rescuing the other - Fix You

* A bumpy ride, but you got there (together) in the end - In My Place

* A long, protracted stalking before the other person caved in - Shiver

Or how about Strawberry Swing - The sky could be blue... could be grey... without you I'm just miles away Is there a more romantic sentiment than that?

Good luck on the big day

^ did that at my reception on the guitar

Are you the perfect man, Jon?

I think maybe so;)

Ooooh, or what about Life In Technicolour

Who knows what the real words are, but it's a great piece of music, really uplifiting. You could walk out at the end to the "woah's"

What about the first part of Death and All His Friends? It DOES say "let's get married" right? :P

Congrats! & Good Luck...now my suggestion...

We Never Change

so I wanna live... in a wooden house

I wanna live life

and always be true

and I wanna live life

and be good to you

I wanna fly

and never come down

and live my life

and have friends around

(Man, I think I' now want this song in my wedding, one day!:))

Green Eyes would be my choice, and Strawberry Swing is another one.

parachutes is only 43 seconds long, perfect to be played as i walk in with my dad, i didnt realise it was a song on its own - brllliant and just what i was looking for

Til Kingdom come lyrics fits perfectly!

"Hold my head inside your hands,

I need someone who understands.

I need someone, someone who hears,

For you, I've waited all these years.

For you, I'd wait 'til kingdom come.

Until my day, my day is done.

And say you'll come, and set me free,

Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me.

In your tears and in your blood,

In your fire and in your flood,

I hear you laugh, I heard you sing,

"I wouldn't change a single thing."
