It isn't true no. I think maybe someone is pulling your leg, unless you are pulling mine. It was actually written about 2 people, one of whom is Jonny.

Online translators throw up many variations but the actual meaning is 'don't cry for me'. And in answer to Brenda's related question, no, Chris did not write this on his guitar because he is sad. He isn't sad.

Q. Has coldplay made their 2008 Christmas message yet?

 

 

The Oracle replies:

 

If it's anything like previous years it'll probably be done on the 23rd December! Seriously though, the Christmas message is usually filmed very close to Christmas with little time to spare. There'll be some thought about it at the start of December but that'll be subject to change as it mostly depends on how the band feel on the day.

That Green Eyes was about Johnny was alreday said in 2002

Q. Just wondering-- Roadie #42 has some great pictures in some awkward lighting situations which most cameras wouldn't be able to capture quite as well-- What type of camera does Roadie #42 use?

Roadie #42 uses a Canon 20D with L series lenses. Also Ricoh compacts and to complete the effects, Abode Lightroom & Photoshop CS3.

For those of us with standard digital cameras, may I suggest the following for live shots? Turn to manual setting, disable the flash (auto or otherwise) and select he highest ISO number e.g. 1600. Keep a steady hand and they should definitely turn out pretty well.

Actually I was in Paris for the Bercy shows. They were amazing. Check out Roadie #42�s blog as there was a magical mobile phone moment. There was also a little celebrity spotting with the crowds going wild at the appearance of Patrick Bruel on the first night and Lenny Kravitz on the second... and there was I thinking they'd spotted me!

I'd like to know where I can find "Chris Martin's Haitian Diary" and then I have not another question but an idea: we know people who study sky find a new star very often and then they call it with a number, so what about contact someone to make a star call "COLDPLAY"? It would be really amazing!! What do you think to that, Oracle? Is it possible? May it require too much money or what? And how may we help you? You can find the diary on the Make Trade Fair website here.

There are actually plenty of companies that for a fee allow you to name your own star. They sell them as unique personalised gifts.

I haven't told the band this but actually I always sing the line 'Look at the stars, look how they shine for you' as reference to the fans being the stars that shine for the band. That's how it feels at their concerts for me.

No, she is a friend of the band and they worked together earlier this year. They sang Can't Get You Out of My Head at Glastonbury in 2005 as a tribute to her; she was due to headline the following night. As Kylie was undergoing treatment at that time all her appearances were cancelled.

Yes, Chris & Phil go way back. He's not their manager though. He was up until A Rush Of Blood... He returned in 2006 and is considered to be the band's 5th member.

Tim is one of the band's closest friends. He is a singer, songwriter and musician. He was in a band called Coldplay and then he changed that name to The Bettina Motive. He's currently in The High Wire.

I haven't told the band this but actually I always sing the line 'Look at the stars, look how they shine for you' as reference to the fans being the stars that shine for the band. That's how it feels at their concerts for me.
