Ive posted a question asking about the start of Violet Hill.

I also mention something about ear wax.

If it gets posted, you'll know about it.

  • I can't give you the reasonings on why things changed, but I can give you an update from what I observed. The Oracle was run by Debs Wild. Debs is still with the band and helps out fans, for exam

Great movie taste on the Oracle's part..I love love love Amelie :nice:

I also mention something about ear wax.

was that really you?? :stunned:

Q. Why does my cell phone insist on beeping very loudly after I miss a call?

The Oracle replies:

It's not a Samsung D600 by any chance is it? I swear mine does it too and Orange hasn't a clue how to stop it. The Oracle is stumped.

Q. Have you watched "Amelie"? I love the soundtrack. Don't you think "La valse d'Amelie" is incredibly beautiful?

The Oracle replies:

Ah Amelie is in the Oracle's Top 5 list of best films ever and I frequently pop Yann Tiersen's soundtrack on the stereo - sublime. I also went to a preview screening of the film with Phil Harvey, Chris and Jonny. Chris fell asleep. How he could with Audrey Tatou onscreen is still a mystery to me.

Q. Was Chris inspired by a hymn when he wrote "A Message?" I heard a hymn with the same lyrics (my song is love unknown... love to the loveless shown).

The Oracle replies:

Indeed he was Rae. The hymn is in fact called My Song Is Love Unknown.

How could the oracle be stumped...:inquisitive: it should know all... that;s it's entire prupose in this world...

and if you wanna get your questions answered include something that implies the oracle.. (debs)

I think she like to reply to things she likes personally:

she has the same annoying cell phone...

she likes Amelie

she knows about band signinge (one of the prvious questions)

and appperantly has a thing for earwax (ewwwww)

OK, so i did a little experiment...... i sent a bunch of question to the oracle just to see if he/she answered any of them. My result?? The oracle decided to aswer the one that i already knew, and you can even find in wiki!!!

Q. How did Will ended up as the drummer when he didn't even play the drums??

The Oracle replies:

Will's amazing. He's so musical and can play many instruments. His flatmate was supposed to record drums for their E.P but wasn't in when the band turned up. They were desperate for someone and Will offered to help them out and that is how he became the drummer.

***frustrated***

that a message inspiration question is great!

Chris wrote that song naked and inspired by hymn hell yeah for that!

she would have asked me...;)

Q. We've heard Jonny and Will sing. When do we get to hear Guy sing (if ever)?

By the way, he seems like quite the dancer. I just recently watched The Hardest Part music video, and out of all of the band he seemed like he was having the most fun.

The Oracle replies:

On the last album and tour Guy sang backing vocals and continues to do so on this record/tour. His dancing actually started with the Speed of Sound video when the director Mark Romanek encouraged Guy to become less static and to find his groove. His direction worked as you can see in the result. In The Hardest Part he became even more animated.

Q. Was the song The World Turned Upside Down belong to the X&Y album? I think that the first name of this song was X&Y.

The Oracle replies:

It was actually a b-side track on the single Fix You and didn't feature on the album. X&Y was track 6 on the album.

Q. Since "Viva La Vida" its a title in spanish.. do you think maybe Coldplay would ever release a single in spanish?? Chris' spanish is so funny...

The Oracle replies:

As you can probably tell Chris isn't fluent in Spanish so for a band with English as their first language it wouldn't really make much sense to release a full song in Spanish. The lyric Viva la Vida doesn't actually appear anywhere in the song either so it's just a title.

...which explains why it is so hard to get an answer... :(

but...she must probably have hundreds of questions per day!!! don't you think?

Q. Will we ever be able to download the techno version of "God put a smile upon your face" that they played in their concert?

The Oracle replies:

Right now there isn't a recorded version of this song. At original rehearsals for the shows, the track wasn't given the techno treatment - I prefer to say it was given an '80's overhaul. At the moment it's performed on what is known as Stage B, which has also seen many changes. The most notable being that Will ditched a traditional drum kit for an electric one. This lends itself to this interpretation of GPAUYF well.

Q. Dear oracle, do you think that people in "Family Guy" can hear Stewie? I know the dog can, but what about the others?

By the way,is Stewie's accent british?

Thank you, master!

The Oracle replies:

Ah this is a question I used to ask myself. Luckily being an Oracle I was able to answer. For most of the episodes it would seem that only Brian (the dog) can hear and understand everything he says but there's odd bits of evidence in episodes where it appears that other members of the Griffin family can hear him too. It doesn't happen often so the explanation is either that they can but choose to ignore him, or perhaps what they hear is his baby voice. As he's a 1 year old, him being the articulate English speaking character we hear is not likely. But then, I have never seen a talking dog, well, except on [ame=http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=DrX-Yv8gLB8]That's Life.[/ame]

the oracle never answers my questions :bigcry:

the oracle never answers my questions :bigcry:

My questions neither! :( I´ve already asked the oracle several times, but it only gives answers to stupid questions like "Is Chasing Butterflies a Coldplay song? It sounds like it is."

the oracle never answers my questions :bigcry:

Apparently you'll get an answer if you ask something "Family Guy"- related.....

Is it just me, or this is not the first question concerning that show that gets Oracle-answered???

told you the oracle answers things she find interesting so she must be a family guy lover....

i think Oracle doesn't like the members on this forum...

maybe she's insulted by the angie... :P

I don't want to say anything bad about the Oracle cos it might really be Debs and I don't want to insult Debs :uhoh:

even i don't want to insult her too because she discovered this band in the beginning and everything.Ofcourse i like the persons who discovered my favorite band coldplay very much!

but they are not giving priority to all the fans....its the thing that i hate very much!

I'd like to think that is just a way to educate new coldplay fans, giving away info that the rest of us already know.

Plus, she probably knows by now that if a coldplay fan wants some info he/she will get it!!!!! We can be pretty persuasive and driven qhen it comes to that sort of thing!!!

I mean just look at the Phil thread and the Bakery thread!!!! ;)

we can get info, but all the people staying in the entire world are not connected to this forum. They only have one way ask the oracle directly.

and see how ruthlessly they are rejecting the questions....

probably, but is the best we've got so we might as well keep posting questions....... maybe one day the interesting ones will be answered..... ;)

maybe one day... maybe...

i want interesting answers now!:smug:

i don't either... though i might come across that way i'm just annoyed is all...

i'm just trying to figure out what we should do to get a question answered

maybe we should all ask the same question again only this time a serious one.. nit something about boobies

what's a question you really need answered?

have you thought that there might be so many questions that they don't have chance to read them all? if other fans are sending as many questions, there must be thousand of emails heading into the Oracle's inbox every day.

I think the mass mailing works because then a particular question stands out

but the questions the Oracle is choosing aren't particularly questions that would stand out
