Q. Dear Oracle,

I have a question for you. here it is. Which band do you like better, The Beatles or The Rolling Stones?

P.S: I like The Beatles!

Peace and Love!

Evey

The Oracle replies:

Both are brilliant bands but Coldplay favour The Beatles where I think it's like asking you choose your favourite child. If pushed though I would personally say I like The Rolling Stones better.

  • I can't give you the reasonings on why things changed, but I can give you an update from what I observed. The Oracle was run by Debs Wild. Debs is still with the band and helps out fans, for exam

The Oracle replies:

The first part of that segment doesn't feature in the show that it was actually taken from. It's a satirical characterization on Ricky Gervais's Extras.

explains why he is wearing and isn't to be taken seriously.

I love that video

Q. Yo, mah peep.

Will the Coldplay stamps be available in post offices of America, or only online? Or is there another way I could get them?

Thanks!

The Oracle replies:

The stamps can be bought in any denomination in UK post offices but outside of the UK you can buy in multiples of 5 online.

You can also order a set of the entire collection. Once added to your shopping basket make sure you change your postage costs from UK First Class to Airmail before checking out.

Q. Hi there Oracle!

I was watching a video on YouTube called Chris Martin Quotes and I was wondering, what is the interview at 2:30? And why is Chris wearing a Coldplay T-shirt?

Thanks,

Emmy xx

YAY! Debs has watched my quotes video. :awesome:

Thanks Australian Emmy :D

Q. Dear Oracle,

There is a song by Coldplay whose name I don't know. It has been puzzling me for a while. Could you be kind enough to tell me the name?? the first line goes like this...

"Now I never meant to do you wrong,

That's what I came here to say..."

Sincerely,

Anwesha :)

The Oracle replies:

Do you know the first time I heard the song I thought the opening line was "Well I never met DeNiro". Life Is for Living is the name of the song and it is a hidden track after Everything's Not Lost on their debut album Parachutes.

Q. I saw the South Bank Show that the boys starred in back at the end of the tour. I was wondering, when they were singing Back for Good with Gary Barlow in the dressing room, who was the man that was playing the piano? My guess is that it's Jon Hopkins. Thanks in Advance!

The Oracle replies:

That is indeed Jon Hopkins taking part in one of my favourite fly on the wall moments.

You're right Anna... I just checked my TV listings to be sure, and it definitely is not on this Thursday. It's funny, the link the Oracle provided even says it is the 31st. I considered sending a message, but I'm sure the Oracle will be bombarded by other people saying the same thing.

Methinks the Oracle should put a qualifying * next to "The Oracle Knows Everything", with the * at the bottom saying 'most of the time'. Hmmm... maybe that's the 'question' I should send...

You don't think the Oracle is Debs, do you? If so, I don't want to offend her or anything.

oh my god, the Oracle is craaaaaazy!
I listened to it again and it could be that actually

This definitely belongs in the "Misheard lyrics" thread!! :laugh3:

 yeah, if it was "Now, I never met De-DeNiro" :laugh4:

but the Oracle is still crazy, especially for posting that Elmo video. :P
