:stunned: that's creepy... poor guy. It's a thing to wait outside the venue or the hotel door when they come out but spy the pool... :inquisitive: it's just weird and again...creepy (can't find any other word)...

  • I can't give you the reasonings on why things changed, but I can give you an update from what I observed. The Oracle was run by Debs Wild. Debs is still with the band and helps out fans, for exam

Q. In the short time you've been in our country, have you tried one of our regional delicacies? like dulce de leche, mate (it's a hot drink) or asado? What do you think about them?

The Oracle replies:

Well, we've been here for almost 2 days and last night sampled the delights of empanadas followed by various cuts of fine Argentinian beef (fyi: Chris hadn't arrived at this point and the vegetarians amongst us enjoyed fresh fish); that's practically asado covered. Phil Harvey lived here briefly and yesterday recommended we try dulce de leche which I ate earlier this evening... wow it's delicious! I saw some local women brewing up mate by a park but haven't had the opportunity to try it yet. I really must stop eating and drinking so much but it's impossible with so many amazing things on offer...

Haha, she just knows people would have questioned it

And vegetarians don't generally eat fish, but ok... :P

Q. How do the boys communicate when they're in foreign countries? The same question for the crew and yourself...

The Oracle replies:

We find that so many people speak English and are more than happy to speak our Mother Tongue. Quite honestly I always find it embarrassing that everyone seems to speak better English than I can of any other language. Here in Argentina though I am speaking a little Spanish with the locals. I'm not fluent but am giving it a go! Phil is chatting away in local lingo too. The band also try to learn new words and phrases but there's a translator to hand in case.

Q. As there are so many of us who will never be as lucky as Phil to live in Argentina, or visit any part of South America, is there any chance Guy could tweet us some photos? We miss his twitter action. Thank you - and keep enjoying that gorgeous food, start the diet after your holiday ;)

The Oracle replies:

Guy was out shopping yesterday but don't think he was on a photo taking mission. However, I took some on my cycling tour and Roadie #42 has been out and about too so between the two of us I am pretty sure we could tweet some pics. There's a new #42 blog and of course that's the first of many so there'll be visuals there too.

Me too! He must have a cute accent:blush:

Got in super-late from work tonight, only just seen my question got answered

I only sent it in this morning... then I read the stuff about him being harrassed at the pool and felt like such a stupid fangirl :embarrassed: :shame:

Oh shush, your question was great :D

Oh no! Your question was great :)

Alison you are in no way like those Guy stalking crazies!

Was a great question :D

I thought she must have had that question a hundred times before, but if showed I'd been paying attention, I might catch her eye - so I threw in the line about eating on holiday.

And as Mimixx knows only too well, I am not a stalker... I arrived at Exeter Castle about 10 minutes AFTER Guy came out to say hello

Q. Dear Oracle,

I wanted to ask if in the Buenos Aires concert you are giving a free cd of LeftRightLeftRightLeft? For people that go to the concert, obviously.

The Oracle replies:

Yes we are... so to all those attending the show, do remember to collect your LRLRL cd on the way out of the stadium!

Q. Hi there,

As you know today is the big day for Argentine fans! I know that there are three opening bands. And according to the tickets the gig begins at 7pm. But, do you know what time is Coldplay going to hit the stage?

Have fun here in BA! Glad to have you back.

The Oracle replies:

Show day is finally here! It's very exciting to have seen so much of this beautiful city and tonight to be experiencing the first Latin American date with its beautiful fans - and of course all those who have travelled in from all over!

Here's the information you need:

Doors: 17.00

Rosal: 18.00 - 18.30

Bande de Turistas: 18.45 - 19.15

Bat For Lashes: 19.50 - 20.30

Coldplay: 21.00 - 23.00

That thingy about Guy at the pool was kinda creepy I think :uhoh:

Cool questions that got answered there :nice:

Q. Hello!!!!

Hope you are having a great time in Latin America. I just saw the setlist of Buenos Aires and I'm wondering, is it going to be the same in Bogota? We'd love you to play Trouble and Amsterdam, we love that songs... ahh and shiver???

Could you make a longer setlist?? Hahahaha....

Bye everyone, we love you all and we wait for you.

The Oracle replies:

We are all having a great time here! It's shame it's raining in Rio but that didn't dampen spirits at last night's show. It was only the second gig of this tour but it was possibly the best Coldplay concert I have ever seen; an opinion shared by many of our entourage in fact!

The crowd were absolutely incredible and it will be interesting to see if they can be matched for the remaining dates.

Anyway, to your question... to my shock and amazement (even though I'd heard the guys rehearsing it earlier in the day) Shiver was in the set at Rio. It was amazing so there's more than a chance you'll be hearing that Andres but I wouldn't expect Trouble or Amsterdam. Someone asked Chris by the pool if they'd play Amsterdam in Buenos Aires - a popular request it seems.

Q. Hi!

As you most likely know, there was a massive earthquake off of Chile on Friday. I was just wondering if this has affected the band or the tour.

Thanks!

The Oracle replies:

We were all sad and shocked to awake to news of the earthquake whilst in Buenos Aires. Geographically we were far enough away that it didn't directly affect us but it did mean that there was no soundcheck at last night's Rio show as much of the equipment was being flown in from Chile and due to the airport being closed it couldn't get to us on time.

I asked the Oracle if we'll be getting another photoblog from the LA tour, so if anyone sees my name, please let me know! :P

Amsterdam and Trouble... my two faves... of course they are popular requests! Hellllllllloooooooooooooooo

If they play Amsterdam sometime on this tour, I'll freaking shoot myself in the foot or something.

:bomb:

You are too funny Anna. I'll join you in the shooting-self-in-foot-if-they-play-Amsterdam department.
