  • I can't give you the reasonings on why things changed, but I can give you an update from what I observed. The Oracle was run by Debs Wild. Debs is still with the band and helps out fans, for exam

Oh, that's too funny! All 4 Juans!

Based on the Oracle's answer, it looks like hotel-stalking will be out of the question.

:sneaky:someone will find a way no doubt:lol:

The 4 Don Juans should book different hotels hoping that one of them had jackpot and then inform the other Juans of the jackpot hotel. :laugh3:

:laugh3:

methinks they need to get some walkie-talkies too

Q. Oh wise Oracle! Earlier today I was on a website and I was watching a video of Chris and the song playing in the back by Coldplay has now become my new favorite song. There is one problem though. I don't remember the name of the song and I have been searching the site for hours trying to find it but I cant! It was something like Don't Doubt the World or something. Something to do with the word "World". The word "World" was in the title. Please help Oracle. It's been bugging me all day!

Thank you soo much!

The Oracle replies:

Well to be honest (as I often am) that title doesn't ring a bell with me at all.

It could be How You See The World or even How You See The World no 2 or maybe it's World Turned Upside Down...

Lots of people seem to think that Don't Panic is called Beautiful World so I've thrown that in the pot too.

Hope it's one of those but if not I am sure either you or someone will write in and let me know...

Q. Oracle would you please answer my question? Do you have any information on what fellow Brit rockers Embrace are up to? Haven't heard from them in 4 years!

The Oracle replies:

It so happens I do have that information for you: "Writing... and it's going really really well" so says frontman Danny MacNamara.

Q. Who is the man who is walking on the beach in the clip Bigger Stronger?

The Oracle replies:

I spoke to the video's director Mat Whitecross who as you know also went on to bigger and er, stronger things.

The actor's name is John Forbes-Robertson .

He was really lovely and incredibly patient. Sadly it seems he died a couple of years ago.

A fact about John - which he told me proudly on set - he was the last Dracula in a hammer horror movie - he played him in The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires.

Here's John's obituary ...

Q. The song Hallelujah sung by Rufus Wainwright, what's it about?

The Oracle replies:

Leonard Cohen actually wrote and originally recorded the song; there's so much to be read into the lyrics with its many biblical references. I still stand by my belief that lyrics are for the listener to interpret so they can attach their own meaning to it. Oh yeah, and because I don't have a clue! ;)

wait was the bakery actually a bakery?

I think it used to be.

:D well it was just an old bakery turned into a studio!

edit: she beat me to it :(

Aw, sorry, Amy! Your answer is more complete, though. :D

Fresh answers... from Latin America???

Q. I was browsing through various CDs at Borders when I saw one called "Maximum Coldplay". Just what is this CD - is it a series of interviews or some other songs?

Thank you.

The Oracle replies:

I hate to be so negative (well ok, I don't) but Maximum Coldplay is no more than an unofficial cash-in. It's not very good at all and is amusing in its poor standard. The band did not authorize its release nor did their label or management. I wouldn't bother with it if I was you!

Take the hint, dear Oracle, we want a DVD :P

Q. Bonjour cher Oracle,

Is it possible to buy the open air concert of Coldplay at the BBC Television Center in London 08/18/2008? Merci

The Oracle replies:

I'm afraid that the show that took placed on 18th June (not August) isn't available to buy. Click here to watch In My Place.

she'll arrive there tomorrow so she better reply some latin american questions :P

I really want to ask something silly, but I don't know what... I just think that as the Oracle is on vacation she'll be in a playful mood and we should make the most of it :P

Yes, it's actually harder to come up with a silly question, I think. I have tried but have been unsuccessful in the "silly" department. Last year I asked her why the puppets neglected to stop by for the Detroit area concert, when they were able to take pictures for every other concert, why did the puppets have to give Detroiters/Michiganders the shaft. I don't think she liked that question though.

hope she answers more than 2 questions a day :whip:

I'm interested to see how she'll respond (if at all) to the flood of questions regarding the hypothetical 2010 release she's bound to have waiting in her inbox right now. We know you must have an iPhone/Blackberry, Debs...answer one or two while you're waiting for the plane at the airport! :P

There must be times when she dreads reading a new Chris interview when he makes crazy statements... she must think "what has he lumbered me with now?" :P

instead of this answering things i prefer a live photoblog

^ Yeah, but we'll see maybe this oracle on tour questions turn out really good.

At least we are getting something :)

^ lets hope it is
