That dress is gorgeous! And the boots make the outfit. Hot!

you know what I wish I could find? shoes that are good enough for going out in but won't make my feet hurt within 5 mins. I think it's impossible!

Alright I have been asked to accompany someone to a formal dinner. So, Outfit one:

To shop??

I haven't shopped yet... i need new clothes...

:(

That's very unlikely.;)

I think you're confusing the word "need" with "want".

exactly my thoughts... the shoes on outfit one are nice by colour , but heels always look more formal...

Second one, definitely, Kellie. I like the first one but I don't know about the whole outfit.. doesn't look that formal to me.

awesome thankyou dearly!

it's getting really cold here (at least for my brazilian standards...) so that means i need to buy an actual coat that will keep me warm, coz the ones i have now are not getting their job done properly... any uk store advice for me??

Definitely what Nina said, and try Topshop as well.

PS. You go to Oxford!?!!??!

I wonder... what's your definition of cold exactly?

well... i come from brazil, bare that in mind.

it snowed here in oxford 2 days ago, so it's quite cold. even the brits are complaining it's too cold. but if u want to know temperatures... it's prob around 6 or 7C during the day... and close to 0 at night (at least that's what my weather.com tells me)

i've lived in canada, which is MUCH colder (got months of -30C) but the cold here is humid which makes it really annoying and feels colder also. and in canada i would just wear those not really fashionable snow jackets. europe calls for something a bit more sofisticated....

And Anna, I don't go to Oxford University, I go to Oxford Brookes, which is another uni also here...

Hummm... i don't know where you live, but here is ok.

I can't say it's a bad city to live in but the 'smalltowness' and academia sometimes gets a bit overwhelming. This weekend I 'escaped' to London just coz I needed to see some normal people, good old traffic and pollution. But then, I'm a bit weird and addicted to big cities, so small towns sometimes can make me feel trapped.

Other than that Oxford is lovely with its beautiful parks, ivory towers and bright green grass. :nice:

Oh, and I bought a new coat, will try to get a pic to show it to you guys...

I can't wait to see it, Mari! :D

And don't worry, I feel the same way, I can't stand suburbia, I'm much more of a city person. I love the loud noise and traffic! It's more lively and I feel like home is so dead and lonely.
