Like, when you see a really moving scene in a tv show or a movie,

and the piece of music in the background really hits a note inside of you.

what are your favourites?

 

I have to say most of mine are from scrubs, but they're so moving, I almost feel the need to burst out crying whenever I see them.

Hmmm.... I think when they played hallelujah when Marissa died on the OC... that killed me... esp when they flashed back to scenes from Season 1... and they played that song in the Season 1 finale when ryan left too.... so it made it worse :( cried like a baby!

Pretty intense eh! The OC went downhill after that moment though... or more so after second season !

 

Im tryin to find a Batman Begins link.... you know the scene when the 'bad guys' come back when Bruce is having the party.... and he gets stuck under the log or w/e.. ?

 

Then the butler comes back and saves him and they like escape down into the cave while the fire is getting worse.. ahah... i find the music in that scene to be so enthrilling! It makes you go 'DAAYYAMMM' ahah!

Oh oh oh! Anddd in the first episode of Gossip Girl.. the climax when Serena and Dan save Jenny from the wrath of Chuck.. ahha they play The Gift by Angels and Airwaves.. i found that to add a lot to the scene.. maybe its just because i really liked the song though! :embarassed:

i'm not quite sure when they did it, but scrubs used "fix you", and i remember it worked really really well. :P

I'm a big fan of all of john williams scores (who isn't) but I loved the music in babel, with those solo eastern instruments...it was unconventional and so beautifully effective. I also enjoyed forgetting sarah marshall where he plays the porno music over the csi scene :P

Most of my favourite movies must have a beautiful score. Music in films is very important, imo.

If I had to choose, it'd probably be Now We Are Free from Gladiator. Now THAT's good music.

Those are the types of moments I love writing in my screenplays.

moments that are defined by the music in them.

I totally agree, I remember when I saw this episode I went and downloaded this song and it blew me away.

Definitly one of my favorite songs.

The scene at the end of the "My Monster" episode of Scrubs with "Dreaming of You" by The Coral. Not that I like sex scenes or anything, but I wasn't expecting to hear that song.

 

Scrubs always has the best music.
