August 20, 200817 yr what punctuation should we add to the end for this version then? Lost. ? Lost; ? Lost, ?
August 20, 200817 yr Author Haha. I was just listening to the song, and adding a gospel choir to the song would be awesome. It would take it to a whole new level! Dave
August 20, 200817 yr what punctuation should we add to the end for this version then? Lost. ? Lost; ? Lost, ? haha It's a good idea though, especially for the dramatic backing vocals near the end.
August 21, 200817 yr If they want to release Lost! as a single, they should record a new version that osunds more like the live version.
August 21, 200817 yr Good idea. They could change some of the lyrics while they're at it ;) A gospel choir would sound lovely though.
August 21, 200817 yr With a gospel choir. It would sound AMAZING. Anyone agree? Dave Not a bad idea... especially for a tv performance.
August 21, 200817 yr They should release a blakc and white tour DVD ripping off rattle and hum and do that with a choir. Maybe we could call it... "shake and lunge"
August 21, 200817 yr Author Haha. I don't think they'd have to do much to the song other than add the choir. Just add them to the choruses and oohs/ahhs as backing vocals. Dave

August 23, 200817 yr after hearing the album i now know why they called it Lost............they band LOST their minds in the recording of it. how on earth did "mister greatest producer ever" Eno let them put that version instead of the beautiful acoustic one

Now, the choir idea, I really like that!
September 13, 200817 yr Author Ooh! I know, they should call it Lost+ Because the instrumental version is Lost- (the "-" is kiinda like "minus vocals"), so the "+" could be plus choir! Dave
September 13, 200817 yr I favor the acoustic version over the album cut myself. Now, the choir idea, I really like that! i think the acoustic version is so parachutes!!!1thats i i think dumbass eno wanted them to add all this loud noise atmosphere drums, bass and beat for the album version that song is so over done its practically raped i hate that song!
September 13, 200817 yr I doubt Brian Eno was prodding them with a big stick saying "I want big drums and hip-hop and keyboards and bhangra!" Sure he may have had some ideas and given advice about it, but at the end of the proverbial day, it's CJGW who make the decision, and it's their ideas and instrumentation that make the song what it is.
September 13, 200817 yr If they want to release Lost! as a single, they should record a new version that sounds more like the live version. I agree whole heartedly. This song is amazing live, and feels more as if builds and goes somewhere, with a stronger drum section and more guitar work. Unfortunately as far as the album goes I much prefer the acoustic version.
September 13, 200817 yr i think its a great idea to have it more like the live version. the opening drum is far more aggressive and really makes you sit up and take notice. then will coming in pounding away. and jonny unleashed with his riff. add in a gospel choir and lost! could easily be renamed "Lost! - So Fuck Off!" would rule the airwaves, imo :)

Unfortunately as far as the album goes I much prefer the acoustic version.Exactly! The drums are soooo much better live, I think. And with slightly more guitar, I think it would be my second favourite song on the album. As it stands though, I think I still like the acoustic version a tiny bit better (than the album version).
