Awww I just saw a show on this. It is sad how some of these tribes in the amazons are being driven off their land and the land is being taken over for the worst too!

A note about the most recent news item, I downloaded the track off of itunes canada a few days ago, so I think you can access it anywhere, not just in the UK.

 

Gorgeous song. I can't stop listening to it. Sounds more like a Mew song to me than anything, though I can't quite make out the lyrics. :nice:

That KT Tunstall track Hidden Heart is really something too. One of the best she's ever done says I.

 

^Yeah, we talked about that when I took an anthropology class a couple of years ago. Aboriginal groups the world over- the ones that have actually survived until now- get treated in the worst possible ways by people and corporations who want their land or resources. Not good stuff. And not 'progress'. Many of those cultures have a much healthier, stabler, more effective way of life than western culture, even if they don't have a tv. :sad:
