So I'm going to send 1 card showing where I'm from, and then another decorated...I don't have blank paper, so I'm going to buy a postcard and then somehow put my own 'art' ontop of it....any suggestions on how to do this?? thanks!

i would just make your design on a card the exact same size as the postcard you buy and paste it on, but really, that would require having blank paper :\

 

what about just sending a postcard from your area, like atlanta or something? keep in mind that there are only 5 days left to get it in the mail so it gets there in plenty of time :wink:

I'm working on my homemade one... how do I get writing on the template for the back of the card. I'd like to type my message rather than express myself with my "serial killer" handwriting again.

I have printed the logo, I have made a nice postcard and on the other side I have stuck my postcard. As a result, it looks like a real postcard (recto : my poscard made myself, verso: the logo "postcards from far away" with their address on the right).:)

In case you're buying one, i recomend you to print the logo and stick it to it. If you're making you're own, you can print one of the templates <they already have the logo>. You can find both the logo and the templates on the first page of this thread. ;)

 

The front can be anything you want, and write a nice short message in the back :nice:

I bought one and at the time I couldn't get to a printer, so I wrote http://www.coldplaying.com and Postcards From Far Away on it myself

Veo ke eres del DF, asi ke no deberias batallar mucho en encontrar una postal de la ciudad. Las puedes encontrar en lugares donde venden recuerditos y souvenirs...... no se ke tan lejos te kede, pero me consta ke en el aeropuerto del DF las venden. ;)

 

Si decides hacerla tu misma, puedes comprar hojas opalina <las venden en papelerias> e imprimir sobre ellas tu postal. Yo imprimi en una hoja el frente de mi postal y en otra la parte de atras y las pegue con pegamento en barra.... y kedan bastante bien!!!!!!

 

Ojo.... si kieres puedes conseguir papel contact <el ke es transparente y se pega al papel>y le puedes poner al frente de tu postal..... keda super bien :D

 

En tu tercer pregunta, creo ke te refieres al template, vdd?? :thinking: Ese lo puedes imprimir y ya se te facilita mas..... aparte de ke se ve super lindo ya impreso :nice:

Si compras una, lo unico ke tienes ke hacer es imprimir el logo

en cualkier hoja blanca y pegarselo a la postal. Y claro ke ponerle tu mensaje, la direccion del PObox y la estampilla :D

Son por si la vas a hacer tu misma, y son para la parte de atras de la postal <por eso tienen espacio para tu mensaje, la direccion a donde se envia y las estampillas>. Y por el frente le puedes poner lo ke kieras ;)

it would be a very good idea to wish them a merry christmas. yes, they'll get it a bit after, but who cares? by the time they get the cards, they'll know it was a holiday project, so by all means, please wish them a merry christmas!
