i'm going to miss this project . not that it really took up a lot of my time or anything, but it was so nice to see what everyone put together and wrote, and i really think that we've done something really nice :nice:

What I've loved most about the project is that I've got to know loads of people and I feel like a proper member of the forum now. I've only been a member for about 6 months (still a newbie at heart) and I was very shy at first. This project has helped me feel totally at home here.

I've said it before, but I think it's worth saying again, thank you Lore & Chelsea for organising this project, you've been absolutely brilliant!!!

Postcards From Far Away Project!!!

You guys can put this in the Sticky Threads if you like, but does anyone know exactly how many postcards Coldplay have actually received from fans, to date???

Can Debs tell us????

  • Author

I don't think we need another thread for this..

anyway.. if Debs give us that info, we will post it here, don't worry... she also has posted about the project a few times, so probably we'll hear some news in january

I can't wait  for Debs to feedback.

They will be pleased, that's for sure and I somehow wouldn't be too surprised if it's worth a message on the official site ;)

i think i would cry of happiness if that happened...... :nice:

:D

I'll send mine tomorrow, thats okay isn't it?

I posted my card on Monday, and I really hope they read it :) And it would be so freakin' fantastic if we'd get a post on Coldplay.com! God yes. :stunned:

I wonder what countries they'll come from. :)

i still am not getting my hopes up for a coldplay.com mention or anything of the sort :P. when it comes to hoping that good things will happen, i'm a huge pessimist just so i don't get my hopes up. besides, to me that wasn't the point of the project :D

first post updated with the mailing situation. post here or PM me with questions/complaints.

(I'm an early bird and a worry wart, so I would say try to have them in the UK by January 1!). Get your asses moving, procrastinators!

Fabulous first post Chelsea!!!!!!!

I sent mine on sunday!!!!! :D:D:D

So Chelsea, do we have any idea how many postcards were sent? It seems like a lot!

i wish i had an idea, but i don't. there are like 50+ in this thread, i would think, and then there's a bunch of people that didn't post their cards here, and a bunch of non-posting members and noobs, and then people from other sites that made cards. my guess is at least a hundred, but i wouldn't be surprised if there were more than that!

i can't waiiiit to hear from debs :nice:

Oooh, that's so exciting! I think that's a good number- it's enough that they'll definitely feel the love, but not so many that they won't read any of them. :)

I can't wait to hear from Debs either... Is there a set drop-off date now, or just "early January"?

there's a set drop-off date in her calendar (and the guys' calendars), but she hasn't told me it. i kind of like it like that, personally...it'll be a nice surprise when she gets back to us. otherwise i'd be counting down the days

yeah, i think between 100 and 200 is a good number, like you said. if it was more than that, i doubt they'd really read them, but i think that's enough for them to know how hard we worked on it all and how thankful we are! :nice:
