I'll send mine on Monday :smug:

Yay I sent mine this morning!!I didn't have my camera so I couldn't take a picture but basically I put lots of small colorful butterflies on it, plus a big one :)

After much debate I've decided to send one. I know I better get on it, I'm going to buy one later today. This is just too cool of an idea to pass on. Kudos to everyone who thought it up.

It was one of the mods, Lore, who thought it up, and she's been assisted by Chelsea (ApproximatelyInfinite)

Those two could rule the world if they put their minds to it!

i'm sorry to say but I have read that ENGLISH POSTMEN ARE GOING ON STRIKE NEXT FRIDAY :(, I hope this doesn't interrupt this :(

It's just a one day thing - and I don't think it's even the whole country.

Liverpool is on strike (they always join in this kind of thing), but don'r panic people, it'll only delay your cards by a day or two.

Seriously, Chelsea, it's a non-issue.

I had thought about posting something about it myself, but didn't want to panic people. There's no guarentee it'll even happen, it could get called off between now and then.

But don't worry, guys, you're postcards will still get here in time.

pffft, not exactly

(but thanks, alison :nice:)

i've just realized how close december 22 is :stunned:. i feel like maybe we should move the date a bit? then again, debs hasn't said what day she's going to be delivering the cards, exactly, so maybe we should just play it safe with the 22nd in case she's going to the bakery on like, january 3rd or something :\

^ahh good. it didn't sound that serious anyway, at least not something that would take ages to sort out. are postal workers in the UK government workers? in the US they are, so it's the government's responsibility to make sure everything still gets delivered on time. not that i think the UK government will need to intervene or anything close to that, i'm just curious :P

i posted this in the other thread, but...

You could drop her a mail asking for a rough date of when she's delivering and then maybe look at moving the date.

However, it's my experience at work, that the longer you give people time to do something, the more they procrasctinate.

I think it's fine as it is. Any late arrivals will get passed on eventually, just not with the original ones

This thread's back! ...Or was it ever gone?

Still, it's fun to look through the first few pages and reminisce about when we were trying to figure out if the Bakery had a mailslot

Hey Chelsea,

I responded to your idea about moving the date in the other thread (I personally think keep it where it is)

I don't think Postal Workers come under the Government umbrella - certainly last time they went on strike I don't remember the Government being that bothered about us all getting our mail...

God, this project has been epic, hasn't it? :laugh3:

did any google the postcode? there's an interesting looking site comes up first

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=sk8+9af&meta=

:laugh3: :laugh3: That's ridiculous!

Well, of course this IS NOT the point of this project but the guys have been blowing us away with their utter kindness & they've been really down to earth for the past 9 years & that's why I'm sure that they're gonna do a surprise for us :wacky:

But if they didn't, I'd still love them :smug:

Watch them do something for all the Coldplayers going to Wembley (which doesn't include me :disappointed: )... But hopefully Anchorman will mention the project or something! *crosses fingers* I just want to know somehow that they got the postcards, I don't really need any surprises :)

Indeed it has! I posted this here on October 6th:

Hmmm, I just think it'd be cool to collect all of them in one place and then deliver them somehow... it'd be a giant onslaught of mail :P Coldplaying is definitely international enough that it'd be realllly awesome.

*looks through the thread*

 something for the wembley coldplayers! well, i would probably die. but i really don't see that happening. that's like...ridiculous :P.

at most, i think it would be an anchorman mention and maaaaaaybe a photo of all the cards lying on the ground or something. but i don't even let myself think about that.

What are we going to talk about once it's all over :(

good point about the late arrivals. debs would pass them on, she definitely wouldn't throw them away, i don't think. and DEFINITELY true about the procrastination. i just hope that people don't procrastinate so much that they don't send one at all .

i'm going to update the title of the main thread with a countdown of days and put it in my sig, so maybe that will get the procrastinators' asses moving!

I don't know!! :uhoh:

I think Chelsea will start questioning her purpose in life, though :laugh3:

Chelsea, would it be possible for Ian to put a little countdown on the front page somewhere? Just a suggestion...
