Sorry if this was already asked but how will we know if our postcard gets to the UK? (I'm mailing from Canada-- the land of the polar bears :P ) Or do we just have to trust that it gets there? :P

 

Not knocking the mail service, I just don't want my postcard to be lost. :)

^you really just have to trust that it gets there. we can't very well ask debs to make a list of every postcard she receives, so it's just kinda putting your faith into your own country's mail service and the royal mail :D

 

really, though, it should be ok. i think with competent mail services (canada's is, i would think, as well as the royal mail in the UK), things very rarely get lost. i wouldn't worry too too much :D

I'm going to make one or two. Not sure what to do for them, but hey. hmmmmmmmm :flutterby:

btw Debs should take an invisible camera with her when she delivers the postcards to the guys I'd so loooooove to see their reactions :D (but I know this project is not supposed to await any reaction but the very thought of their faces is sooooo pleasing :wacky: )

I'm thinking about sending a postcard, but it would probably take me a couple of days to make it.. If I mail it in like... a week, would that be too late? :confused:

The advised stop sending date is Dec.22, so if yours are sent a week from now you're on the safe zone!!!!!! :D

some people can do some amazing things in powerpoint, like whole animations and all that. i can just get words to woosh from one side of the slide to the other :P.

I just sent mine today, and the lady from the postal office said that my postcard will get there in 2-3 weeks... :( Will I make the cut-off? The cut-off is dec22 right? which means I'm already late?

22nd of December was suggested as a cut off date for sending... Debs will check the PO Box again a couple of weeks after that.

Well, the piccies and the logos were obviously copy&paste, just the layout and the christmassy stuff was done with it :P but considering that i went to architecture school, teachers kinda expected for PP presentation to be a bit more 'artsy' and with design and stuff........... so, a zillion presentations later, i'm pretty used to coloring stuff with it.... :D

like alison said, you'll be fine :D. all you have to do is have it IN THE MAIL by december 22, it doesn't have to be received by then. i should go and make that more clear in the first post. debs isn't even delivering them until after the new year, so i assume that anything she gets up until the date she delivers them, which is still a long way off, she'll deliver :nice:
