It should be in the mail by close of business Monday

yes, exactly . it needs to be in the mail by monday. otherwise, it might not reach the band in time for delivery, which is in early january.

Sent mine today, they shouldn't take too much to get to the UK...I hope so :)

I sent mine yesterday. I'll have to put a picture up when i can. it's great.

oh, Time goes fast.... Only one day left ;)

Yikes! I was planning to do mine this week, but have been really sick.

I finally feel half human today so am going to try my hardest to cobble something together before tomorrow. :uhoh:

I'll probably print and send mine tomorrow :uhoh:

just like uni.. I always end finishing things a few seconds before the deadline

I still haven't bought a card..or done anything else but i'll probably send the card by tomorrow..

I guess people (latecomers) in Europe are probably safe, when they send their cards on the 23rd or even after X-mas.

Not that I am advising everyone to do so, but usually the mail doesn't take too long and I somehow can't imagine that Debs will be knocking at the guys doors on Jan. 2nd ;)

So if worst comes to worst, the cards will probably arrive in time even when posted after X-mas.

At least it's worth a try ... :\

Edit: sorry wrong topic :$

so the ones who didnt have time to sent their postCards, they could still send it even if after christmas??

I think you'll struggle to get it here in time from Mexico - sorry!

Maybe if you could get it in the post tomorrow...

europeans definitely have a bit more leway with the time, brits especially, but since we don't know what date in january debs is planning to deliver them, they really should be in the mail, at the latest, like the 26th or so (for europeans--i assume within england, the post moves fairly fast and you could get away with sending it on the 28th or 29th or so). you're probably right about debs not knocking down their door on january 2, but i'd say better safe than sorry :D

if you're from mexico, south america, asia, australia, africa, or anywhere else, TOMORROW IS REALLY YOUR LAST CHANCE. north america too, i would say, but i think, based on what i've heard, the US mail system to the UK moves slightly faster and stuff can get there in about 5 days. that aside, GET IT IN THE MAIL TOMORROW. :P

i'm going to miss this project . not that it really took up a lot of my time or anything, but it was so nice to see what everyone put together and wrote, and i really think that we've done something really nice :nice:.

i can't WAIT to hear from debs next month :wideeyed:

I don't think that tomorrow is the last chance.. it's not like debs will give them the postcards at january 2nd as someone said

and since the po box is now the official band address.. if some people doesn't send the postcards soon, maybe debs will give them more postcards later

oh yes, it's not like if you don't send them now they won't get delivered. but i think the greatest effect will be when the big box of cards will all be delivered together, and i would think that people would try to aim to be a part of that :D

besides, the "final date" is more to encourage along procrastinators than to actually put a final date on the thing. tomorrow i plan to update the first post saying something like "you should have gotten in your postcards by now, but if you haven't..." just so people know everything's not lost

I know.. but it's not like stop sending postcards tomorrow... that's the idea I get when I read the thread :/

thanks!!, i will try to get to the post office a soon as i can

:embarassed: finally put my mothers cards in the postbox for tomorrows pickup.

I know.. but it's not like stop sending postcards tomorrow... that's the idea I get when I read the thread :/

i know, that's the point till tomorrow--it gets people moving. then i change it tomorrow to say "ok, well you can still really send them, but HURRY UP." it makes procrastinators worry and get stuff done . but for those SUPER procrastinators...they still have a few days .

so the ones who didnt have time to sent their postCards, they could still send it even if after christmas??

Well, my post wasn't meant as an advice or encouragement to ignore the 'dead line'.

It's just that these days (esp. after all the concerts in the UK/Ireland) a lot of new users come to the forum who find this thread and maybe want to participate as well. :)

So it's more or less meant to those people who live in the UK/Europe and who's cards don't have such a long postal way ... :\

Sure you can also try to send a card after X-Mas from Mexico but there's no guarantee that it will reach the addressee in time and like 'ApproximatelyInfinite' said, as it is meant to be a group project, it has a wider and more powerful effect if the guys get all the cards at once rather than in stages ... :(
