yes, on cardstock or thicker paper of some sort. i've been using regular 4X6 sized index cards (but one for the back, one for the front taped together, so it's twice as thick). i don't even know if the post office would take something on regular paper.

 

and the templates aren't mandatory, just so you know :D

no one's obliged to do anything :D. it's all about writing what YOU want to, but i do think that the point of the project is to say thanks and give back to THEM, so maybe that's something to bear in mind.

 

the personal story/specific thing is just a suggestion to people that might not know what to write or want to try to be original.

yeah there will be more.. I know many people from here (Chile) that will send postcards... and they don't post in coldplaying (probably because of the language I think)

yeah, i expect there to be more than 300 as long as everyone follows through...but wow. that's pretty impressive. i mean, i guess i expected somewhere around there when the project started catching on, but imagine anyone receiving 300 cards all under one project. that's pretty impressive! :D
