Ooooookies.....I'm so freaking happy right now and I hope everything will turn out well....:dance: (I don't want to be too euphoric)

 

BUT

 

as some of you might know I've quite uni some weeks ago. Now I decided to do an apprenticeship in a music store where instruments, notes and sound storage mediums are sold. I can still study musicology at uni afterwards....I think such a practical thing is better for me than this theoretic uni stuff and working in such a store or a record store is something I really would love to do in the future (I always thought people who do that are cool haha....:wacky:)...

 

so the new year for an apprenticeship has already begun, but I applied in a music store in Cologne which does also have a store in Bonn (where I studied before and where I had to leave my dearest uni friends)....

 

soooo, today the boss of this store called and said they do have an apprenticeship training position for me eventually- I wasn't at the phone, because I wasn't at home....he wants to call again today or tomorrow...

 

but my mum said he sounded quite positive and easy going at the phone...and the fact that he calls so soon means that I could start this apprenticeship immediately if they take me.

 

 

I can't tell you how happy I am right now. I think it's just a good sign that he called (I sent the letter of application last thursday). I mean how freaking awesome it would be if everything would work---- wouldn't loose one year as I thought at the begining....I could move to Bonn again...I'd just be lucky and happy....so many failures in the last year (failures: "career failures") and now this...:dance:

 

I wanted to ask at McDonald's again today if they hae a job for me, because I didn't know what to do anymore, because I applied for some many jobs and nothing worked and I knew the apprenticeship would start next august---- my life seemed to be so messed up...so good news like these make me sooo happy...

 

if everything works I believe there is a God (ok I already do believe that there is a God, but I never really believed that he helps us down here haha):D

he called again some minutes ago....I was so nervous when I picked up the phone...I will meet him on friday....my God I'm already so nervous...I sooooo want that job...

 

now I'm a bit worried, because I didn't ask him anything at the phone....and don't they usually expect that?...

Just have a few question about his shop, showing you know them. Their shop is so important for them they like candidates who appreciate it and did not just pick them out of a list of ads.

 

Show your interest, your abilities, your will to learn and your enthusiasm.

I think doing an apprenticeship is always a good choice, as it's important to get a taste of daily work and stuff these days. More and more companies are looking for students who also did an apprenticeship beforehand. In some cases it will be easier for you to apply for universities afterwards (like in my case). So keep going on! :D

 

BTW, you probably have to attend a vocational school, haven't you? Do you already know which one? :)

well, I think it will be in Cologne....as far as I know do "Musikalienhändler" ot have a special class.....they attend the same class as "Buchhändler"....;)

 

oh welll....it would be heaven to get this....it's one of the best and oldest and biggest music stores in Germany...ahhh

YES....it worked! Omg I can start the apprenticeship on monday....all this happened because of a conincidence....it is scary...I'll move to Bonn again....oh my this is soo crazy...:uhoh:
