Black Rose
Narrowing down the choice to 3 is hard enough, but to put them into order is harder, but... 1 - Elbow - Grounds for Divorce 2 - Snow Patrol -The Lightning Strike 3 - The Myraid - A clean shot

Excellent choice, Sir! 1) Coldplay - Violet Hill (just because it surprised me so much the first time I heard it - really I could spend days choosing between half the songs off VLAODAAHF) 2) Elbow - One Day Like This 3) Vampire Weekend - Campus (Was hard to pick between Vampire Weekend & MGMT, but I think the fact I saw VW recently swayed me. Both groups made phenomenal albums this year)

StephenG
No matter where you put it I'm Outta Time deserves to be up there. I considered it at #1 if it wasnt for Coldplay this year. Why? I found it wore thin very quickly. The Lennon bit is a nice touch tho. But its just another Oasis ballad. Theres nothing that wrong with it, but its pretty much just another fine song on a fine album. For me Coldplay's Yes/Chinese Sleep Chant has to get there. Along with that R.E.M song Man Sized Wreath. Nothing else I think is all that brilliant after that, so I'd go with Fires by Feeder.
