Just a question, I will be getting a Train from Scarborough to Manchester, there is a few train stations in Manchester, isn't there? Which one is closest to maybe the city centre? Because I am hoping to get in Manchester by about mid day and then hang around in the city centre for a few hours with my mates AND is the centre far from the LCCC?

Thanks :)

There are a 4 train stations in Manchester City Centre - Victoria, Piccadilly, Oxford Road & Deansgate. If you want to hang out in town your best bet is Victoria or Piccadilly. Train tickets are valid on the tram in the city centre zone, so you can get the tram right into the middle (Market Street or Moseley Street stops)

Best way to LCCC is tram from town to Old Trafford (any Altrincham-bound tram is best).

^ Thanks :), So I could get a tram straight from Victoria or Piccadilly (with my train ticket?) into town and then go back onto the tram up to Old Trafford? Also, how long do the trams travel because I would want one back to the station after the show! Thanks :)
